The miniseries tells the story of Leninha, who marries Paulo due to a financial agreement made by her father, Dílson. Her life changes when she meets her brother-in-law, Mauricio, during a trip to her husband's farm in the interior of Rio de Janeiro. The two fall in love and become lovers. Leninha then begins to experience a great conflict: social and moral rules impose on her the behavior of a good wife, faithful and companion, but her desire for Maurício speaks louder. Consuelo, mother of Paulo and Maurício, realizes what is happening and begins to antagonize her daughter-in-law. Upon discovering the betrayal, Paulo starts to hate his brother. At the end of the plot, Leninha decides to stay with her husband, and the couple happily announces that they will have a child. Mauricio despairs, but later recovers in Regina's arms.

Intrigues and mystery involve the murder of Vitor, a member of an important family, just when he was trying to save his economic empire from bankruptcy. In court, a beautiful woman becomes the center of the entire plot.

Colonel Epaminondas is a retrograde and authoritarian man, who commands and dismantles the region. He declares war on Pedro Galvão, his main rival, when he donates part of his land – purchased from the colonel – for the construction of a church and a school. The arrival of professor Juliana, right at the beginning of the plot, changes the lives of the residents of the small village. Juliana takes over the school and ends up arousing the interest of Fernando, Epaminondas' son. Oblivious to the fights that drive the story are Pituca (Patrí and Serelepe (Aires Pinto). The friendship between the two children, however, does not please the colonel, who is always fighting with his daughter. 'Meu Pedacinho de Chão' was co-produced and shown simultaneously by Globo and TV Cultura in São Paulo.

To defend the humble Soró Sereno in a traffic accident, the mysterious Ciro Cerqueira, a bus driver, ends up getting involved with the traditional italian family of Mamma Vittoria Cantarelli, owner of a chain of canteens in which he starts to work as an executive, and is torn between the love of the matriarch's granddaughters, the responsible Luísa and the seductive Bruna, a woman who spares no effort to get what she wants.

The story of how a quarrel between families set poor farmer Virgulino Ferreira da Silva on the path to become Lampião, the greatest leader of the cangaceiros - bandits who roamed the Northeast of Brazil until the late 1930s.

Zé is a very poor man whose most prized possession is his donkey. When his donkey falls terminally ill, Zé makes a promise to Saint Bárbara: If his donkey recovers, he will carry a cross - like Jesus - all the way from his city to Saint Bárbara's church, in the state capital. Upon the recovery of his donkey, Zé leaves on his journey. He makes it to the church, but the priest refuses to accept the cross once he discovers the context of Zé's promise.

Returning to his homeland after many years away, Juvenal, an agricultural engineer with liberal ideas, finds himself caught up in the social unrest on the island of Madeira that preceded the 1974 revolution, which is condemned by his brother Álvaro, an embroidery manufacturer and staunch conservative. Exposed to the romantic schemes devised by Álvaro, Juvenal vigorously defends the exploited workers and is reunited with Elisabeth, the great love of his youth. Wounded while taking part in a popular demonstration that is violently suppressed by the police, he is sentenced to exile on the island of Sal. Elisabeth decides to accompany him, announcing that she is expecting his child... eternity!

Meant principally for a sympathetic audience, whether Catholic or not, this routine story about a priest's receiving the call to the cloth may be a bit slow and theatrical for some viewers. Directed by Lima Barreto, the tale is told in a series of flashbacks as the priest remembers how he was transformed as a child into a person willing to give his life in service of the church and his God. Barreto also scripted the story, which in the end, may be too filled with religious platitudes and preachy overtones to effectively convey its message.

After killing a troublemaker, Cristino flees to a town in the Northeast and is forced to join Lampião's gang, where he becomes his right-hand man, under the name Corisco, the Blond Devil. He falls in love with Dadá, a farmer's daughter, and takes her with him by force. Gradually, she learns to love him, and they live together for 13 years in the cangaço. Corisco escapes the Angico massacre but is captured by Lieutenant Zé Rufino's volante after beheading the family of Lampião's informant. Dadá and Corisco, on the way to hand them over to the authorities, reminisce about the adventurous adventures of their lives.

A hardworking market vendor, Mrs. Xepa faces many sacrifices to raise her children alone. However, as they achieve social advancement, they begin to feel ashamed of their mother.
