Ciao Darwin is a variety game show format from Italy sold under licence to several countries, including Romania, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Canada, USA, China and Greece. There are two competing teams of about 50 people each, usually made up of people who fit certain opposing stereotypes. In each game two members of the audience are selected at random, one from each team, indicated by a light in front of them which remains illuminated when all the other team members' lights have gone off. The games involve contestants competing in acts of bravery, style and talent, some of which are designed to humiliate the contestants, especially an assault course which was introduced with the Italian version in 2010, and the Finale which is a water tank game.

A TV series composed of eleven episodes and a conclusion, it aired in six one-hour programs starting on October 6, 1985. Lasting about half an hour each, the episodes are separated by intermissions starring three characters: Good, Evil, and Destiny. But the man is offended by the modest funeral he receives and has fun playing pranks on his daughter. IL FATTACCIO: a doorman is paid to show an apartment in which something gruesome happened. Determined to keep the extra work, he invents increasingly grisly stories to keep interested buyers away. LADRI: two thieves in a working-class neighborhood have tragicomic adventures. L’IMBIANCONE: a very shy man enters a shoe store to buy a pair of shoes and seduce the female shop owner.

Three episodes. In the first episode Valerio is mistaken for a notorious criminal. Very beautiful journalists succeed to bring him to her house for an exclusive interview. She tries to seduce him. In the second episode Giuseppe, an unlucky and ugly man, gets a job as a maid. His mistress falls in love for him. In the third episode, Plinio is a taxi driver who loves his cab above all. But at one point he is involved with the kidnapping of a woman.

High school professor Guido is a hopeless romantic whose life falls apart after his girlfriend leaves him. Paolo, a former student of his, helps him in getting out of his depression for a better chance to become a PE teacher himself.

Ovidio is a bored and tediously repetitive middle-school teacher, an easy target both for his students’ disgusting pranks and for the principal’s reprimands. The monotony of his yawning days is unexpectedly broken when, after twenty years of absence, his twin brother Raf turns up: an overexcited, down-and-out singer who performs for a few small-time, undemanding audiences in shabby venues on the outskirts of town. Without so much as a by-your-leave, Raf moves into his brother’s home and lives off him, shamelessly playing the part of a carefree rogue while dragging Ovidio into a series of embarrassing misunderstandings.

Tina is on trial for the murder of her lover, Gino. The violent nature of their relationship, revealed in the trial, seems to make obvious that she accidentally killed him during a fight. The lone female jury member compares her life to Tina's and, believing her to be innocent, sets out on her own to find a missing witness that can prove Tina's innocence.
