Meet a group of people who despite age differences and geography have in common that they live in a dying culture: the Norwegian coastal culture.

For a year, we follow the life of two farms, with calving, slaughter, dung spread and production of traditional food. We join in an entertaining journey into the realities of life, and get an insight into a disappearing culture.

Kåre Morten is a Norwegian man with Down Syndrome. Without commenting or interfering, director Sandberg observes his daily life. The fly-on-the-wall images provide a remarkable glimpse into the emotional life of a special person and his immediate surroundings.

Haakon Sandberg made 11 annual cavalcades from year 1960 to 1992. He filmed small and great events in Bergen, intertwining them with historical archive footage of the city. The films contain unique footage of Bergen from 1916 to 1992, created with artistic intention. Øyvind Sandberg made a 23-minute film portrait of his parents, specifically Haakon, at the end of this DVD collection.
