Lost Paradise

The 1920s. Count Kabardin, who emigrated to France, sends Colonel Lavrov to Russia with the aim of bringing his daughter Irina to Paris. Irina married Chekist Andrei Slavinsky and joined the revolution. Under the guise of a White Guard lieutenant, Andrei is sent to France. He carries out a secret intelligence mission. But Irina believes that her husband has died. The chairman of the Cheka, learning of Lavrov's visit, gives him the opportunity to take Irina to France and gives her a new assignment and a password for Andrei.

After school, Victor is in no hurry to determine their future profession. So far, it works where it is necessary, nothing himself not particularly burdened. Unexpected acquaintance with Vera, a woman injured in a car accident that killed her mother, dramatically changes the life of Victor. And love has arisen between the girl gives the power to decide on the fourth and perhaps decisive step.

As a gift to the fortieth anniversary Yakov receives from the Chairman of collective farm the permit to the resort. He is sent on leave by force, in the hope that he will be able finally to arrange his personal life. But, in vain. At the station Yakov meets his ex-wife with her new husband and finds out that they are going to the same sanatorium. So begins this story.

Based on the novel of the same name by A. Bakhvalov. The plot is based on a story-interview about the testing of the new strategic missile carrier Tu-22K and Tu-22M2/M3 (for well-known reasons, in close-ups, instead of them, the film shot the then less secret Tu-134 UBL - a combat training laboratory) and the tragic events associated with them, given to journalist Odintsov by test pilot Borovsky. Testing of a new jet aircraft, the psychology of human life, the problems and joys of life of pilots - all this is closely intertwined in the film. The heroes of the film - friends test pilots Dolotov and Sanin - have walked together all their lives. But it so happened that one of them, Dolotov, was once unfairly suspended from flying, while Sanin failed to protect and support his friend. Friends' paths diverged...

Under the hoofs of a wild herd, a correspondent of a metropolitan newspaper dies. His girlfriend Kupava, (also a journalist), trying to find out the circumstances of the death of her colleague, becomes a witness to the conspiracy of the "first minister of the country" and the young deputy who are about to apply a new "scheme" of robbing their people.

Faina got married shortly before the war. She is raising her daughter on her own, remaining faithful to her husband, who was killed in the war.

West of Ukraine, 1945. According to the intelligence of the First Ukrainian Front, a special detachment led by Hauptmann Hintze entered the Carpathian region in search of gold for the needs of Germany. In order to get ahead of the enemy, the Chekists recruit a forester. Together with the Chekist Olga, they are supposed to be looking for a place to cut down the forest. In fact, Krapivych is tasked with protecting Olga, who is gathering information about the actions of a German group of saboteurs, which she is hiding in a pursuit squad, and looking for gold ...
