The Legend of Immortality

The film takes place in late 1941 in Transcarpathia. Soviet paratroopers landed on the territory occupied by the Hortists. Of the six, only Olexa Borkanyuk manages to bypass the ambush. However, the Nazis, taking local people hostage, threaten to punish them if he doesn't voluntarily surrender. For the sake of saving the lives of people, Olexa goes to the camp of the enemy. The film is based on real facts from the life of the writer and journalist, Hero of the Soviet Union Olexa Borkanyuk.

They Were Known Only By Their Faces

Explosions are raging in one of the ports in the territory occupied by the German fascist invaders. An old and experienced military leader, Admiral Reinhardt, arrives to investigate these emergencies. Together with the head of the Gestapo, SS Standartenfuehrer Hübe, he takes all measures to suppress the activity of the partisans, raids and arrests, but all in vain. Underwater sabotage continues. A detachment of fighters with experience of submarine warfare is sent from Italy to fight the demolitions.

The Stone Cross

A Hero of Our Time

After the death of Bela, Pechorin was unwell for a long time, and then left the fortress and Maxim Maximych and left for Georgia. Since then, the headquarters captain had no news of his friend, often recalled and carefully carried his diaries in his wanderings. Five years have passed... Summer 1947. The World War II has just died down. Unexpectedly and incognito a stranger shows up in a small village in Transcarpathia, situated near the very frontier. For some purpose he gets into a well in an oldmans Atanas yard, and when Atanas comes out, it turns out that he is not a stranger, he is Bogdan Susik (Ye.Vesnik), a former butler of a local count. He tries to understand why a former butler got into a well, and reveals a terrible secret to Atanas, on the honor to keep silence and assist him in everything. The fact is that when in 1944 the counter escaped overseas, Susik helped him to hide a chest. He is sure that the counters riches were hidden inside of the chest, and that the map with the chest location was put in the well. Now they have to find it

Zakhar Berkut

This film is based on the classic novel of the same name by writer Ivan Franko, one of the most famous figures of Ukrainian literature. It is set during the 1200s and the invasion of the medieval Ukrainian-Russian state of Rus' by Chengis Khan's Golden Horde. Due to its having been produced during the Soviet era, the story's aspect of class-conflict between the "heroic" peasantry and the "decadent" noble particularly emphasized here.

The Month of May

Students Galya and Sergey want to marry. In the civil registry, they are given a month's time, as stipulated by law. The young people quarrel, reconcile and quarrel again. On the last day of the probation period, the couple come to the registry office to pick up their applications, and leave it in the company of satisfied friends and indignant parents, having become husband and wife.
