Shisha to no kekkon

The movie depicts the youth of kamikaze pilots who scattered young lives in the sky.

The elderly Shukishi and his wife, Tomi, take the long journey from their small seaside village to visit their adult children in Tokyo. Their elder son, Koichi, a doctor, and their daughter, Shige, a hairdresser, don't have much time to spend with their aged parents, and so it falls to Noriko, the widow of their younger son who was killed in the war, to keep her in-laws company.

A short time after the war in Tokyo. Hamana, who was formerly a military police officer, had fallen into the role of a black market broker and had brought his former lover, Kameko, into his home, constantly clashing harshly with his wife, Kikue. Kikue could no longer endure such days and decided to run away with her young son, Kikofu. Learning of this, her brother-in-law, Itaro, tried to support Kikue. However, the pillar of Kikue's heart was the shadow of Takenaka, her former teacher from girl's school days, whom she had deeply admired.

Nakamura Yukinojō, Edo's most popular actor, discovered that his parent's enemy, Ohara Genba, had changed his name to Isshiki Kurōnosuke and become a hatamoto, a direct retainer of the shogun. Yukinojō's younger brother, Shingorō, traveling to Edo from their hometown, helped the town boy Kiyohē and his daughter Michi from troublemakers led by Kumosuke. This act led to a reunion with Yukinojō through the assistance of their associate, Daisaburō.

A young woman is attacked by a serial rapist and murderer whom her detective father is investigating. Though she survives, the impact of the event creates increasing discord and agony for her and her loved ones.

A love comedy directed by Osamu Takahashi based on an original screenplay by Kei Tasaka.
