An estate manager sets his eyes on a beautiful girl. When he tries to misbehave with her, a good-hearted man comes to her rescue.

A boy gets separated from his parents and grows up to become a thief. When he finds his parents and tries to return to them, his father who is a police officer refuses to accept him.

Bayaludaari is a 1976 Indian Kannada-language film directed and produced by the Dorai–Bhagavan duo. It is based on the novel of the same name by Bharathi Sutha. This was the first movie of the director duo without Dr. Rajkumar in the lead. The film starred Anant Nag, Kalpana, and K. S. Ashwath. It was a musical blockbuster with all the songs composed by Rajan–Nagendra considered evergreen hits. Bayalu Daari was the first commercial success for Anant Nag who had earlier done art films and established himself as a leading star in the Kannada cinema with a chocolate hero image. This film was one the last big hits of Kalpana. The helicopter scenes formed a major highlight of the movie.

The story of an extremely generous and righteous man, Ravi Varma, who succumbs to his intention of being generous no matter what happens. The movie is based on a story, Kasturi Nivasam written by G. Balasubramanium. The film stresses the principle that "life is to give—not to take". The role of Ravi Varma, the protagonist played by Rajkumar is a character who upholds the values of life even it means his destruction; a person who is keen on retaining his character's purity and those morals he has cherished. Ravi Varma led a lonely yet righteous life. He did not break his principles even as it lead to his downfall.

Goadalli CID 999 is a 1968 Indian Kannada-language spy thriller film written, directed and produced by Dorai–Bhagavan duo. The film starred Rajkumar in the lead role as a detective. Popular Indian actress Lakshmi made her debut in Kannada cinema with this film. Sri Lankan based actress Sabeetha Perera also made her Indian movie debut with this film. The film had musical score by G. K. Venkatesh with lyrics by R. N. Jayagopal.The film met with highly positive response upon release and paved the way for many more such Bond style of movies in the combination of the director duo with lead actor Rajkumar.

Bengaluru Mail is a 1968 Indian Kannada-language mystery thriller film directed by L. S. Narayana and produced by Y. V. Rao. The film stars Rajkumar, Narasimharaju and Jayanthi. The movie is a remake of the 1967 Malayalam movie Cochin Express, which was also subsequently remade in Telugu as Circar Express, in Tamil as Neelagiri Express and in Hindi as The Train.

‘Sandhya Raga’, based on a popular Kannada novel, is about a young man Lakshmana, who dedicates his life to music. He belongs to a sophisticated family and his father is a much-respected cultured man of the village. While his brother chooses a secure job for the power and comforts it offers, Lakshmana is not after fame and money. He wants to master the art of music. The film captures the trials and tribulations Lakshmana undergoes before he succeeds in winning the hearts of music connoisseurs.

Rajadurgada Rahasya is a 1967 Indian Kannada-language film, jointly directed by A. C. Narasimha Murthy and S.K.Bhagwan and produced by A. Vasudeva Rao and T. Dwarakanath. The film stars Rajkumar, Bharathi, Udaykumar, Narasimharaju and Dinesh. The film has musical score by G. K. Venkatesh. Rajkumar plays dual roles in the movie. The movie was dubbed in Tamil as Malaikotai Marmam. This was the last movie where Bhagwan directed Bharathi Vishnuvardhan.

Dashavathara is a 1960 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by P. G. Mohan and produced by B. S. Ranga. The film stars Rajkumar, Udaykumar, Rajashankar and Narasimharaju.

The theme of Bhoodana is inspired by Vinoba Bhave's Bhoodan movement and also draws from the novel Chomana Dudi by K. Shivaram Karanth.
