The Girl's Dead, Man

Cain has been traveling for a long time throughout Europe. Back "home" he knocks at the door of his parents' trailer only to be rejected by his hateful mother, who once again blames him for his laziness and once again compares him to his brother Abel, a successful businessman and a right guy, good to his parents and stuff. As for his father, now blind and crippled, he escapes his wife by being permanently drunk and he is of no help. In disgust, Cain runs away from the place and contacts Abel, the perfect son, to borrow money from him. But, although Abel tells him he doesn't mind helping him, Cain shoots him down with a gun found in his brother's car.

Her mother had advised her to marry to acquire respectability and material comfort, the obedient little girl married a successful Catholic writer a few years later, giving her two beautiful children, a spacious house, a few servants, and glittering social evenings. But in her thirties, Rose can no longer fall asleep at the side of her husband, who is imperturbably indifferent to her charms and neglects her, to develop, with more attentive ears, endless considerations on divine values in this world. So, in the evening, the young woman lets herself be drawn into pleasantly equivocal reveries. Two young delinquents run away from a reformatory, across France with a front-wheel drive (Citroën) and live on thefts made here and there in a very crazy way...the police are on their heels, love for one of them is on their way, but so is the drama.

Julien finds himself in possession of high-value jewelry that is impossible to sell. Lolotte, his companion who had left him, returns opportunely for better or for worse. Julien, the son of a minister has just married Birgitt, a Swede she met during her holidays on the French Riviera. She was recovering, having come to rest with Julien's father, a friend of her family. During the wedding cocktail, Julien remembers these holidays.

Philippe, a photography enthusiast, is attracted to his young aunt so he makes a plan to get his uncle involved with their maid in order to get the chance to have sex with his aunt.
