A Love Tragedy in Istanbul

The process of fraudulent seizure of the inheritance left to a minor Russian girl in a case led by an Islamic judge.

Brothers are in love with the same woman who earns her life by singing songs at night clubs and by sponging on her lovers. One of these brothers (Rahmi) works at a bank. Rahmi spends the money of bank with this singer woman and sooner or later bank authorities find out his malfeasance which brings about a debt on the family of Rahmi; other brother bursts a blood vessel about actions of Rahmi and they face off against each other at nightclub.

Ayse who lost her husband and child during the occupation of Izmir by Greek Army in 1919 goes to Istanbul to attend demonstrations which are arranged against the occupation of Anatolia. And then she passes to Anatolia to be a nurse and meets with Ihsan there. At that time Turkish War of Independence starts and they participate to this battle together.

Based on the novel of Peyami Safa, the movie centers on the life of Mebure who arrives in Istanbul after the Greeks occupy Western Anatolia. In Istanbul, Mebure begins to live with her relatives who live in very good conditions and sooner or later Behic, the son of the house, starts to be interested in Mebure and tries to make use of her. In the meantime, Mebure tries to find her missing father.

Married or Single? is a 1951 Turkish comedy film written and directed by Muhsin Ertuğrul.

It tells the story of the funny situations that occur when the advertisements placed in an advertising agency are mixed up due to the carelessness of the staff working in the office.

The film was shot in Constantinople by the director of the National Turkish Theatre, Muhsin Ertugrul with a script by Grigorios Xenopoulos, based on his novel by the same name. It was shown as one of the first contemporary Greek films to include full sound and conversation.

Leblebici Horhor [The Chickpea Seller] is an adaption of an 1875 Turkish-language operetta by the Ottoman-Armenian composer Tigran Chukhajian. It has been claimed as one of the first original Turkish operettas. A silent film under the direction of Muhsin Ertuğrul, it was supported by the piano-playing of the operetta in the movie theater while it was shown to the audience.

The events begin on March 15, 1920. The captain Davut, who belongs to the Kuvva-i Milliye in Anatolia, and the commander Tilki join the alliance that first presses the Akbas Ammunition and transfers the ammunition to the Kuvva-i Milliye on a received code.
