Rahmi spends the money of bank with this singer woman and sooner or later bank authorities find out his malfeasance which brings about a debt on the family of Rahmi; other brother bursts a blood vessel about actions of Rahmi and they face off against each other at nightclub.

Leblebici Horhor [The Chickpea Seller] is an adaption of an 1875 Turkish-language operetta by the Ottoman-Armenian composer Tigran Chukhajian. It has been claimed as one of the first original Turkish operettas. A silent film under the direction of Muhsin Ertuğrul, it was supported by the piano-playing of the operetta in the movie theater while it was shown to the audience.

Based on the novel of Peyami Safa, the movie centers on the life of Mebure who arrives in Istanbul after the Greeks occupy Western Anatolia. In Istanbul, Mebure begins to live with her relatives who live in very good conditions and sooner or later Behic, the son of the house, starts to be interested in Mebure and tries to make use of her. In the meantime, Mebure tries to find her missing father.
