Days after his wife was murdered during the Bataclan attacks, Antoine Leiris wrote an open letter on Facebook to his wife’s killer. It was a letter of exceptional grace and defiance, stating simply that the terrorists had failed because they would never have his hate. People who are trying to rebuild their lives after terrorist attacks.

When it comes to sectarian aberrations, how do you break free from their grip? Between dizzying loneliness and rebirth, these moving accounts from victims recount their descent into hell and their struggle to break free from subjugation.
