A Christmoose Story

Residents, police and the municipal government of the Dutch city of Enschede face loss, guilt and responsibility as they grapple with the May 2000 explosion of a fireworks depot that wipes a working-class suburb off the map.

Lois Elzinga, a detective with the Alkmaar police, has her very private life come to the fore against the background of three tough cases in this thriller series based on the trilogy penned by Simone van der Vlugt.

Following the catastrophic crash of a large El Al cargo aircraft into Amsterdam's 'Bijlmer' high-rise district in October 1992, a local young veterinarian and two journalists find themselves drawn into a years-long investigation into the many puzzling questions, about the disaster and its aftermath, the powers that be seem determined to keep unanswered.

It is the time of major social changes, squatter riots and demonstrations. The idealistic young detective Jurre de Cock is just starting at station Warmoesstraat. His partner, the purebred Amsterdammer Tonnie Montijn, shows him around the city. But then the duo comes across a criminal conspiracy, which appears to be part of a bigger plan. De Cock is also assigned a new partner: Andy Ruiter, transferred from the Bijlmer.

When Sam regains consciousness in the middle of a crowded subway, he doesn't know how he got there, where he came from nor his own name. He franticly searches for his identity, using the contents of his backpack. Slowly but surely he realizes his life is in great danger.

Jimmy, an 11-year old European boy, goes to Africa with his mother, a busy executive charged with establishing a golf resort. However, on arriving they find themselves caught up in a war situation between rival indigenous tribes fighting over the land. To his surprise, Jimmy meets the talking giraffe, Seraf, at a busy market. Seraf tells Jimmy that he cannot easily avoid this tribal battle. But together with Charita, a poor African girl, Jimmy embarks on an adventurous and magical trip through the African jungle, where they must overcome many obstacles. Fortunately they have help, not only from Seraf, but also from a precious medallion. Throughout their trip, they discover that they can only achieve their goal if they truly believe in themselves and don't let anybody or anything get in their way.

Lieke and Millad are best friends. Milad land his family have been living in the Netherlands for years. Suddenly, Milad is told that he and his family have to leave, because they don't have a permit to stay. Lieke is upset. She wants to find a way to solve this problem. Together with Milad, she begins an exciting journey.

The new academic year for student corps H.S.C. Mercurius with a huge enrollment party. Perpetual student Olivier de Ruyter gets into a minor conflict with the police, who are fed up with the nuisance Mercurius is causing in the neighborhood. Meanwhile, lawyer Bram Wagtmans is nostalgic for student life and decides to go all out with his friends at the club that evening, for the last time. First-year students and best friends Elias and Lieve also attend the party. Lieve is the ideal sorority girl, while Elias is only at the party because he is in love with Lieve. These are the ingredients for an evening that will get completely out of hand.

To celebrate their anniversary, a young urban couple spends a weekend on a rural island, only to find its locals don't take too kindly to strangers.
