U.S. Marshall

While this sounds like a western, THE SHERIFF OF COCHISE was a contemporary police drama set in Cochise County, AZ. Sheriff Frank Morgan was eventually promoted to U.S. Marshall and given the entire state of Arizona to keep under control (the series title would subsequently change to U.S. MARSHAL and remain in syndication until 1960)

Gambler Big George Kilraine (Harold Huber) hires him to take the $107,000 winnings of the gambler's syndicate on the game to Chicago. On the way the money bag falls out of the airplane and lands in the state penitentiary. Herry now has to figure out how to get into the prison and get the money out of the prison.

In this musical, the second entry in a five-film series, a thrift shop owner sells his business and buys a small time radio station. He begins looking for sponsors. He finds one with a department store owner who will only lend him the money if he will allow his daughter, an aspiring tap-dancer and singer, to perform on the air. This is unfortunate as she is tone-deaf. To compensate, the owner hires a real singer to dub the daughter's voice. The singer and the owner's nephew fall in love and mayhem ensues. The show centered around Chuck Martin (Kenneth Tobey) and Pete (P.T.)
