Toni, who has Asperger’s syndrome, and Valerie, who has Tourette’s syndrome, have been a happy couple for over a year. When Valerie’s grandmother dies, however, the two face a major decision: whether to buy her grandmother’s run-down house in the village and start a new life. A life in which the routine-loving Toni cannot hold on to the structures he is accustomed to.

Claudia travels to Iceland for her son Patrick's dream wedding. She has a big surprise in store: she is the mysterious "new girl" of his best friend Alex, who has even proposed to her and wants to turn the ceremony into a double wedding. However, the secret lovers are waiting for the right time to tell the unsuspecting Patrick. Both fear that he will be less than thrilled. Shortly after arriving in Reykjavik, Patrick receives a phone call that throws everything out of kilter for him: his fiancée Anna cancels at the last minute! He also receives bad news from the start-up he set up with Alex in Hamburg. Patrick would love to fly back immediately, but a volcanic eruption puts a spanner in the works. Instead of a celebration and honeymoon, he has to pass the time with Alex, Claudia and his assistant Nina. Nina also has a secret agenda: to conquer Patrick.

However, Uwe’s broken down car bestows the Ohnsorg and the Rath family with a weekend together, during which more than one bomb will be dropped.

42-year-old Anna is happily single and doesn't want to be tied down for life. Her best friend Daisy, who wants nothing more than a marriage proposal, and Anna's daughter Clara, who is planning her lavish dream wedding, are completely different. All the hustle and bustle unexpectedly throws Anna into an identity crisis.

Sebastian is struggling with the problem of still not having a girlfriend at the age of 21. He seeks advice from his grandfather and a therapist, but neither really helps him.
