Sofia, Bulgaria during World War II - Pesho, a poor boy from a working class family, falls in love with Violeta, a rich girl.

Two best friends get involved into the domination games of two mafia bosses in post-communist Bulgaria. Clutching like crayfish to the baits of everyday life, they determine their fates: without the other one knowing, they are manipulated to take seemingly harmless tasks. Parallel to the criminal line in the story, our attention is drawn toward the inner problems of the characters, toward the links that exist between everything and everyone. The first love between two very different characters is the prism through which we are shown the point of view of the film-makers who denounce war and plead for simple human happiness.

A movie drama telling the story of the crew of a Bulgarian cruiser in the historic year of 1918. The crew of the cruiser, sent to Sevastopol for a planned intervention against Russia, learned the true purpose of the campaign and the fact that the war was over. The sailors refused to obey the commander. The communist Boyan Milev took command. According to the wishes of all the sailors, the cruiser should sail back to Bulgaria the next morning. However, among the sailors there is a traitor who helped the arrested captain to get free and damaged the ship's equipment, so the "Nadezhda" will not be able to sail the next day. The rebels are taken to Bulgaria, where they will be brought to justice.

Marinov is found dead, and suspects include Baev, Dimov, and Zhana. The Inspector, who deals with life’s dark side, investigates. Despite his loneliness, he shows compassion, especially towards Zhana. Ultimately, he concludes Marinov committed suicide and demonstrates that people can embrace higher morality. A girl walks out as if of Pandora's Box to foretell the drama humankind is to face, paying for all sins, we have been piling up through the ages. A number of directors being parodied take turns to show their take on this drama and relate it to modern life. Getting tangled up in the opposition between the eternal and transient, the base and the sublime, it all turns into a cocktail of an absurd and profound poignancy.

In the 1920s several dozen political prisoners are exiled on a small island in the Black Sea awaiting sentencing. The old sea wolf and adventurer Kostadin (nicknamed Costa Rica) is planning an escape together with а carpenter named Zheko, an idealistic student and a doctor.

The action takes place in the last years of the Second World War, immediately before the socialist revolution in Bulgaria. It centers on the life of the middle-class family of Lazarov, which is torn by the sharp political contradictions taking place against the background of the popular struggle against fascism. The father Vitan goes through terrible mental traumas, which are the price, he has to pay for his illusions that in such clashes one can remain neutral and free from politics. The partisans execute the son Boris - a fascist officer, a sadist and a murderer. The daughter Lily is forced to search for her place in the conflict between the representatives of two hostile worlds - that of fascist brother and her husband - a communist and a revolutionary.

After a successful concert, the famous singer Lina Dimova disappears. She travels to the seaside, where she pretends to be mute and lives in the cabin of Manol at the bed of Ropotamo River.

Stationed in a secluded Bulgarian village in 1943, Walter – a German Wehrmacht sergeant and artist – lives in almost idyllic distance from the war. Then a transit camp is set up for Jews arriving from Greece. When Ruth, one of the internees, asks Walter to help a pregnant woman, the two form an unlikely bond.

This film brings us back to show us the life of the famous ancient sage Aesop, who helped people with his wisdom in their struggle for freedom and happiness.

What happens when a distracted newspaper editor-in-chief initials a "yes" to print a sharply critical feuilleton and a "no" to the feuilleton author's application for leave instead of the other? Well, an incredibly funny mess, which only the screenwriter Radoy Ralin and the director Vladimir Yanchev can mix. Of course, supported by the whole constellation of comedians that Bulgaria had in the early 60's. The commotion occurs when dozens of big and small bosses and directors from all over the country recognize themselves in Karaivanov, the fictional hero of the feuilleton. They all run to the editorial office to demand refutation and punishment of the author. Just watch as they bury themselves in an avalanche...

The weaknesses and shortcomings in the work of some leaders in the years of the building of socialism are ridiculed.
