Sofia, Bulgaria during World War II - Pesho, a poor boy from a working class family, falls in love with Violeta, a rich girl.

Two best friends get involved into the domination games of two mafia bosses in post-communist Bulgaria. Clutching like crayfish to the baits of everyday life, they determine their fates: without the other one knowing, they are manipulated to take seemingly harmless tasks. Parallel to the criminal line in the story, our attention is drawn toward the inner problems of the characters, toward the links that exist between everything and everyone. A movie drama telling the story of the crew of a Bulgarian cruiser in the historic year of 1918. The crew of the cruiser, sent to Sevastopol for a planned intervention against Russia, learned the true purpose of the campaign and the fact that the war was over. The sailors refused to obey the commander. The communist Boyan Milev took command. According to the wishes of all the sailors, the cruiser should sail back to Bulgaria the next morning. However, among the sailors there is a traitor who helped the arrested captain to get free and damaged the ship's equipment, so the "Nadezhda" will not be able to sail the next day. The rebels are taken to Bulgaria, where they will be brought to justice.

A quite line in the capital city. A little girl, Veseto, slips out of home unnoticed, attracted by the voices of children playing in the yard. when the kids get tired of playing hide-and-seek, they scatter and Veseto sets out in a long stroll across the city, full of exciting adventures. She talks to a chimney sweep, stops to look at some land surveyors at work, watches an interesting football game at the stadium, enjoys herself at the fair, extemporizes as an actress and has a trying experience on a building site. All the people in the neighborhood start looking for the lost child. In the evening, Veseto reappears. She is back to the arms of her mother, while the people in the neighborhood prove by deeds their human solidarity, their love for children and their resolve to struggle for peace, a must for children's future all over the world.

Marinov is found dead, and suspects include Baev, Dimov, and Zhana. The Inspector, who deals with life’s dark side, investigates. Despite his loneliness, he shows compassion, especially towards Zhana. Ultimately, he concludes Marinov committed suicide and demonstrates that people can embrace higher morality.
