The Killer Awoke Before Dawn

in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping, the moon tells me a secret, a confidant As full and bright as I am, this light is not my own and a million light reflections pass over me, the source is bright and endless. She resuscitates the hopeless. Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting.

An experimental 16-minute film based on a personal experience of lethargy. The monotonous and tedious life of a human being. There is an effort to move forward, but no dramatic events occur. The matter is not about suspense or revealing the plot. The focus is on sharing this lethargy and time with the audience. Part of the film belongs to the experiences of the audience, and what they construct in their minds and imagination.

I write with images so that I may cease to move, so that I may arrive at disconnection, and drown within an encounter; in the totality of a single moment.

Magenta does not exist in the human visible spectrum. Instead, it is a perceptual outcome that the mind creates to understand the combination of the longest and shortest waves that is, red and blue. "An Instruction for Creating Magenta" is an effort to visualize between two dreams.
