"The Written Off" is a famous Serbian TV miniseries, that was very popular in former Yugoslavia, originally airing in 1974. Due to its popularity, Radio Television of Serbia has shown reruns of the series ten times, the last re-run starting in 2012. The series has achieved something of a cult status among its audience and still attracts an estimated 3 million viewers with its last rerun. Idea of series derives from exploits of freedom fighters in Belgrade during World War II, and all the characters and events are fictitious.

Vruć vetar is one of the most popular Yugoslav TV miniseries that aired in 1980. The show and movie cut from scenes of the show were popular in neighboring countries-also very popular in Czechoslovakia. Its main theme became very popular and enjoying a bit of a cult status. The story follows Shurda, a man in his 30s, who comes from a small town to Belgrade to get rich. However, as no job is good enough for him, he tries his luck in Germany, but this venture proves to be the same, so he returns to his native Yugoslavia.

Trials and tribulations of the Popadic family, a typical family of five with everyday problems... BOLJI ŽIVOT is a Yugoslav TV series with mixed elements of soap opera, comedy and drama that aired from 1987 to 1991. Created by the Radiotelevision Belgrade it is considered to be the most successful TV show ever produced in Yugoslavia. Written by Siniša Pavić, most prolific Serbian screenwriter, the series helped jump start cinematic careers for many of its protagonists, most notably Dragan Bjelogrlić who went on to become successful actor, director, and producer.

In the family of Colonel Mitrovic, all three daughters are ready for marriage, but they have problems finding husbands. The icebreaker occurs when the youngest daughter marries a young assistant at the university. Her wedding, however, starts a chain of events which helps the other two daughters.

TV series made as an extended version of an eponymous feature film. As victorious Partisan forces approach, Prle, Tihi and Joca must continue their underground work in order to prepare the city for liberation.

Fascinated by his friend's success abroad, an out-of-work barber Šurda tries his luck in Germany. Incapable to accept any job that would suit him, he returns to his homeland in disappointment. Based on a popular TV serial "Hot Wind" ("Vruć vetar").

In his comedy play, Branislav Nusic satirically depicted the snobbish desire of some wealthy people to “decorate” their children with academic titles.

Milutin, a former powerful man in a small town, is terminally ill. Members of his family gather around his bed on the day of his baptism. It is also an opportunity to once again recall the events from the past that changed everyone's lives. Two middle-aged friends, Mićko and Đorđe, decide to make a joke with their childhood friend, teacher Svetislav, who is a stingy when it comes to paying for the bills at bars where they often hang out. After filling his lottery ticket with numbers that Mićko claims he saw in his dream, they invite him to his home to watch lottery live on TV, but instead they play a previously recorded video material in order to make him believe he scored all seven hits. However, a joke goes wrong after Svetislav ditches his wife, resigns at the school where he works, and raises a credit at the bank, believed he's about to make a new start.

In a seemingly simple text, Brana Crncevic communicates the bitter, sad, common human truths. His Oto and Moto in two forms aren’t just incarnation but display of human relations. There is no dilemma that we are selfish, but we do not admit it, and we believe that others don’t realize or notice it.
