Dark Heaven

In a party, Fico bumps into Manolo, an old friend from school, a rascal who is running away from the mob who is after him. To take shelter in his friend house, Manolo fakes a desease that will start a series of entanglements that will change their lives. Soon they will find out that everything but friendship is an illusion.

After 19 years without seeing each other, two former “guerrilleros” reunite to sign their divorce papers. As they catch up with their lives and revisit their shared romantic and political past, they unveil intimate secrets to finally discover who they truly are and how much their country and convictions still hurt them.

Alex will soon become a father. In a storage room, he discovers deeply disturbing family photographs. In the 21st century, a mestizo village in the Peruvian Andes celebrates an ancient Andean marriage rite called La Palpa, in which the entire village, for several days, relives the famous "Andean reciprocity" through complex rituals and intense community dances.
