Pat Metheny took his 1992 album Secret Story on a concert tour, and a video recording of a live performance at New Brunswick, New Jersey, was issued. This film, also called Secret Story, was re-released on DVD in 2001.

The idea for hosting the concert was envisaged by Ronnie Lane, ex-bassist for The Small Faces and The Faces, himself a casualty of multiple sclerosis. The concert was billed as The Ronnie Lane Appeal for ARMS and featured a star-studded line-up of British musicians, including Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Andy Fairweather Low, Bill Wyman, Kenney Jones and Charlie Watts. The concert was particularly notable in the fact that it was the first occasion on which Clapton, Beck and Page, each a former lead guitarist for The Yardbirds, had performed together on stage.

This is the debut of Fourplay, a popular quartet comprised of keyboardist Bob James, guitarist Lee Ritenour, bassist Nathan East, and drummer Harvey Mason. The music sounds more or less like a Bob James small-group date with Ritenour as a major soloist. The style is between jazz, R&B, and pop with an emphasis on lightweight originals, soulful and moderately funky rhythms, and predictable radio-friendly music. Nothing unexpected occurs, but fans of James and Ritenour should enjoy both this CD and Fourplay in general.

Music legends Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Billy Cobham team up to form the World of Rhythm in this concert performance captured live at Plazzo dei Congressi, Lugano in January of 1983. Songs include "Toys", "Little Waltz", "Princess", "Walking" and more.

The Carpenters' debut BBC concert, recorded on their first British tour in September 1971. They perform hits including Close to You, Superstar and We've Only Just Begun, together with the odd Beatles tune and a Bacharach/David medley. Karen's drumming and Richard's keyboards get instrumental support from their five-piece touring band and a 26-piece orchestra conducted by Johnny Pearson.

Legendary rock 'n' roller Chuck Berry performs at the BBC Television Theatre in 1972. Johnny B Goode, Roll Over Beethoven and Nadine are just some of the highlights of this concert, shown in an extended cut. This version includes, for the first time, an epic rendition of My Ding-a-Ling that carries all before it and raises innuendo to an art form.

When pianist Dave Grusin decided to start his own record company in 1977, he gave birth to what soon became one of the most successful and well-regarded labels in contemporary jazz. GRP All-Stars Live from the Record Plant features Grusin and several of the label's best known artists -- including guitarist Lee Ritenour, horn player Larry Williams, and vocalist Diane Schuur -- performing a live set at L.A.'s world-famous Record Plant Recording Studio in 1985. Recorded at the old Sheperds Bush Empire Theatre by the BBC, Neil preformed his now classics for an intimate audience.
