In 1970, the BBC broadcast the TV special, Elton John in Concert. The show featured impressive live renditions of songs that would go on to become classics from Elton’s music catalogue, including a version of ‘Burn Down The Mission’. The track is taken from the Tumbleweed Connection album, also released that same year.

Pat Metheny took his 1992 album Secret Story on a concert tour, and a video recording of a live performance at New Brunswick, New Jersey, was issued. This film, also called Secret Story, was re-released on DVD in 2001.

The idea for hosting the concert was envisaged by Ronnie Lane, ex-bassist for The Small Faces and The Faces, himself a casualty of multiple sclerosis. The concert was billed as The Ronnie Lane Appeal for ARMS and featured a star-studded line-up of British musicians, including Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Andy Fairweather Low, Bill Wyman, Kenney Jones and Charlie Watts. The concert was particularly notable in the fact that it was the first occasion on which Clapton, Beck and Page, each a former lead guitarist for The Yardbirds, had performed together on stage.

The Carpenters' debut BBC concert, recorded on their first British tour in September 1971. They perform hits including Close to You, Superstar and We've Only Just Begun, together with the odd Beatles tune and a Bacharach/David medley. Karen's drumming and Richard's keyboards get instrumental support from their five-piece touring band and a 26-piece orchestra conducted by Johnny Pearson.

This is the debut of Fourplay, a popular quartet comprised of keyboardist Bob James, guitarist Lee Ritenour, bassist Nathan East, and drummer Harvey Mason. The music sounds more or less like a Bob James small-group date with Ritenour as a major soloist. The style is between jazz, R&B, and pop with an emphasis on lightweight originals, soulful and moderately funky rhythms, and predictable radio-friendly music. Nothing unexpected occurs, but fans of James and Ritenour should enjoy both this CD and Fourplay in general.

Music legends Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Billy Cobham team up to form the World of Rhythm in this concert performance captured live at Plazzo dei Congressi, Lugano in January of 1983. Songs include "Toys", "Little Waltz", "Princess", "Walking" and more.

When pianist Dave Grusin decided to start his own record company in 1977, he gave birth to what soon became one of the most successful and well-regarded labels in contemporary jazz. GRP All-Stars Live from the Record Plant features Grusin and several of the label's best known artists -- including guitarist Lee Ritenour, horn player Larry Williams, and vocalist Diane Schuur -- performing a live set at L.A.'s world-famous Record Plant Recording Studio in 1985. Selections include "Early A.M. Attitude," "Love Dance," "Awakening," "Before It's Too Late," "Revenend Lee," and three others. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Live performance from British rock band Deep Purple recorded at the California Jam festival at the Ontario Motor Speedway in April 1974. Playing to a crowd of over 200,000 people, the band perform hits including 'Smoke On the Water', 'Might Just Take Your Life' and 'Burn'.

The "Rit Special" DVD captures a live concert performance by Lee Ritenour and his band in California, 1984. The concert showcases a mix of jazz-rock and instrumental pieces, with Ritenour leading the ensemble through various moods and musical styles. The show includes both vocal and instrumental tracks, with vocalists Phil Perry and John Massaro sharing the spotlight on some songs.

"The Impending Death Of The Virgin Spirit," "Visiting," "The Bricklayer's Beautiful Daughter," "Silent Anticipations," "Woman Of The World," "Because It's There," "Follow Through," "Aerial Boundaries," "Vashon Poem," "The Orangutan Gang," "What Goes Around," "New Electric India" and "Streetnoise."

Intimate concerts for the new breed of singer-songwriter.

Recorded at the old Sheperds Bush Empire Theatre by the BBC, Neil preformed his now classics for an intimate audience. With only his guitar in hand and a voice that matches no other, he swept away the audiences with the following songs: «Out on the Weekend», «Old Man», «Journey Thru the Past», «Heart of Gold», «Don't Let It Bring You Down» and «A Man Needs A Maid».

Cliff Richard and The Shadows are hired to star in a movie shot amid the lush tropical scenery of the Canary Islands. A sunny seaside spectacular, filled with romance, excitement and high spirits - not to mention a dozen musical numbers.
