The film ballet based on the play by Bernard Shaw "Pygmalion" to the music of Timur Kogan. For the first time, an attempt was made to translate the play into the language of choreography. The silly but practical mother of the quiet fool and dreamer Misha Balzaminov, knowing that her son cannot survive on his own abilities alone, does everything she can to marry him off profitably. A certain Belotelova, one of the richest widows, a merchant's wife and a respected woman in the city, dying of boredom, asks a matchmaker to arrange her personal happiness. That's when Balmazhinov comes into the picture.

The professor performs a daring medical experiment on the dog that changes him into a human being. As the newly transformed Sharikov begins to navigate life in the professor’s apartment, his crude behavior and revolutionary ideas turn the household upside down.
