On the advice of a squirrel, he swallows a frog... who croaks inside him; then a grass snake, whose wriggling tickles him; then a heron, whose beak prickles him. What lengths will he go to to stop this torture?

La Fontaine turns filmmaker is a new film from The Cinema Owl. You will remember how last year, Wake Up and Dream Again invited children from 3 to 8 years old to discover some wonderful stories halfway between the world of dreams and the real world! This time The Cinema Owl has brought back from her travels six short films in the form of fables about animals, each with a strong message. La Fontaine turns filmmaker, in the tradition of our cartoon favourites, is both educational and a lot of laughs.

A seriously vain wolf, a wolf cub who wants to try hunting on his own, another little wolf who loves the company of others... In the Cinema Owl's new series Warm-hearted and Wacky Wolves, we revisit the storybook image of wolves with humour and poetry, to return them to their rightful place in the natural world.

A mouse is chased by a cat who is pursued by a dog that is pursued by a little girl who is put right by her mommy who has enough with the grumbling grandpa who makes his soup and needs a carrot.

The Big Bad Wolf is back, and firmly intends to resume his usual behaviour. He is disillusioned when he comes upon Little Red Riding Hood, on her way to her Grandmother's, with a tray of cakes. "Things change, you know!", she exclaims. This is indeed what he finds out when he meets Grandma and the gamekeeper.

Little rabbit's mum has made him a special biscuit in the shape of a rabbit. But the biscuit notices the way little rabbit and his friends are eyeing him greedily so he jumps down and runs into the forest. Will the rabbit biscuit outwit the fox prowling in the forest?

We are used to see terrifying monsters on screen... But they are not always as bad! These five short films offer an overview of the most terrible creatures on the planet, in a new light filled with tenderness and humor!

Eckart was born in West Germany in 1941. The very first memory he has of his father is the sound of soldiers' boots on the stairs as he waited impatiently for his return. It wasn't until he was a teenager that Eckart became aware of everything that had happened during the war and began to question his father's role.

A clever little monkey remembers to keep his wits about him when the bigger monkeys encroach on his bounty of bananas.

Life hangs by a thread. Sometimes, it is none other than an old floor lamp switch. The question (of life and death) should be: must the light stay on or off? This exploration between hunter and prey will be revealed with music.
