Letter to a Loved One

Three people end the night together for a threesome, but the encounter takes a turn, guided by their desires and hesitations.

Adapted from the Quebec novel Femme forêt by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette, this short film takes us to the heart of the forest, celebrating the author's poetry which resonates with woman, freedom and nature, and offers us a journey that is both mystical and intimate.

Laurie and Thomas are a young couple whose relationship is faltering. As they consider buying a place together in the suburbs, they meet Michel while visiting his house, which is up for sale. The three end up spending the rest of the day together, drinking as conversations slowly bring truths to the surface.

A young woman invites a stranger for a one-night stand. But a pierced condom turns this fleeting encounter into an unpredictable night where desire and horror violently intertwine.

December 31, 1999. Quebec is a few hours from year 2000 and its potential bug. Trapped in a Montreal appartement, Momo needs only one thing to survive this nightmare: couscous.
