Mizutani Kei, who starred in the V Cinema production A Weather Woman that also gained popularity overseas, gives a delightfully humorous performance as the battling protagonist who gives up a glamorous nightclub career to take up farming. Thirty-five-year-old bar worker Yukie (Mizutani) marries customer Jotaro (Hamada Manabu), the eldest son of a farming family. She revels in the humble joy of being a farmer's wife. Then one day, a man named Mishima (Yoshioka Mutsuo) who once deceived Yukie reappears, and seeks a physical relationship with her.

After the death of his wife, Yukio has become more and more paranoid, believing that he is being followed and watched at all times. Yukio's late wife, before her death, was seeing and sleeping with another man. Not only did Yukio know about the affair, he would watch them have sex. Unbeknownst to his wife, his peeping on her became like a fetish. As the film progresses, Yukio goes to see a counselor to try and figure out his phobia and discover his deep repressed thoughts about his wife. In comes Akemi, Yukio's ex-girlfriend from almost a decade prior. Akemi is unhappy with her marriage and seeks the warm embrace of Yukio, which only furthers his descent into madness.

The cheap thrill turns expensive as Yuji discovers she took this opportunity to steal his wallet. Later on, Asuka finds Yuji and approaches him with an indecent partnership proposal. Fumiko, a married bookkeeper at a hair salon, is having an affair with one of the stylists, Sawai. Suspecting that her co-worker Mayumi is also involved with him, Fumiko murders her in a fit of jealousy, dismembers the body, and disposes of the remains around the city. When Mayumi’s husband, taxi driver Yukio, comes looking for his missing wife, Fumiko approaches him and claims that Mayumi had wanted to visit a hot-spring resort in the snowy mountains. The two set out together in search of her, each carrying motives and resentments of their own, as their strange journey gradually develops into an uneasy and increasingly dangerous intimacy.
