Wrapped up my 2023

The village headman in the Isaan region of Thailand organizes the Bun Bang Fai festival to pray for rain from the rain god Phaya Thoen, addressing the issue of drought.

Kua, a film student who shares his experiences, reasons, and ways of thinking that shaped his love for cinema, as well as what cinema has brought into his life, told through the eyes of Aaron, his close friend and future cinematographer.

Fragments of a contemplative essay film drifting between memory and dream. I see an old man haunted by an elusive voice, and a fading childhood quietly watching over him, in a space where prolonged sleep blurs the boundary of what is real. This is a story written from elsewhere a place where I listen, observe, and record his story, in an attempt to weave together images of family, and the quiet violence of growing up.

Tomorrow, a man will direct his first feature film, but, that night, something happens.

An obsessive finger-snapping office worker begins to encounter strange behaviors from those around him, which escalate over time. Meanwhile, black liquid starts to seep across his body.

A college student's abrupt awakening in the dead of night leads him to a mysterious corridor, causing a sudden nosebleed and an encounter with a shadowy figure silently watching him. But this wasn’t the first time it had happened.

Memory and Dreams is a hybrid documentary video essay and a personal record of memory, built around Kua’s recollection of a dream in which his grandmother appeared to him before she peacefully passed away. This record is woven from moving images and audio recordings made with his grandmother, both before and after her passing.

The film chronicles the historical wounds inflicted upon the Communist Party in Phatthalung and neighboring provinces, interwoven with the events of the Thai state, including instances of people being killed, pushed down hills, and burned in red tanks. Despite the passing of many decades, the story of the people's struggle endures, and the lasting scars from those events remain unhealed.

Documentary footage capturing a real event of a film student who has just begun hurriedly editing his thesis before the faculty’s screening deadline. Everything seems to be going well, until he realizes that… a crucial audio file for his work has gone missing.

Our Conversation in the Afternoon at the Park

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the political prisoners and victims who have suffered under the Thai state during the three periods of Thai political history.

On a lonely night, Aaron, a guy with a heart as empty as his fridge, desperately craved a taste of true love. So, naturally, he turned to Fast Food Jesus for help. Fate (or maybe just greasy miracles) led him to cross paths with a mysterious woman, as stunning as the dream love he’d been binge-watching in his head.

It all starts with him having to pitch a product to a client. The product is glasses. This turns into an action film where martial arts warriors battle it out, with the glasses serving as a game-changing power in the fight.

An image of me at twenty-two, lying with open eyes beneath flickering lawn lights — quiet, alone.

A short story in three parts—verbally contemplating on the death of an insignificant person—riddled with self loathing of both the living, and the dead. For death is a bitter tasting joke with no set-up; only a shocking punchline leaving those who remain with the unbearable weight of grief and longing.
