There are many ways to travel! Rich Director Brown's two young daughters prefer a first-class coupe in a high-speed train. While the train whizzes along the rails on its way to the big city, the young ladies in a strange way meet two strange guys, one long and thin, the other small and thick ... Fy and Bi! Fy and Bi are on their way to the capital to look for a place, they have an introductory letter with them, and it turns out that it is for the young ladies' father. The two young ladies promise to put a good word in for them, but director Brown receives Fy and Bi with much distrust, and he throws them out. Through many trials and a breathtaking ride in a motorboat, however, Fy and Bi manage to make a good impression on the director.

The merchant Blomberg is out in the countryside with his daughters and housekeeper when the idyll is suddenly shattered. The daughters head off to have fun with two young guys from Copenhagen who are on a road trip, and the vagabonds Pat and Patachon seize the chance to interfere for their own gain. The preserved material is the original Swedish version titled 'Landsvägsriddare', translated to 'Tyvepak' in Danish. The film was a huge economic success to the then Swedish owned production company Palladium. It is the first film, in which Pat and Patachon appear as a team, although not in their final constellation: As always, Pat is played by Carl Schenstrøm, whereas Patachon is embodied by Aage Bendixen instead of Harald Madsen. There is another 'Tyvepak' from 1915, which is directed by Lau Lauritzen Sr. as well. This film is a heavily revised version of the 1915-film. (stumfilm.dk)

When the modest butcher’s wife becomes a wealthy landowner, it immidiately goes to her head. Fortunately, the poor butcher’s apprentice is friends with Pat and Patachon, who work in a circus and have experience with clownery. Director Jessen lives with his sons Fritz and Jørgen in a country house on the coast of Øresund. One day, Jessen announces that his boss is coming to visit from Australia, and that he will bring along his daughter, Alice. Jessen further proclaims that he wants one of his sons to marry Alice. Full of prejudice against Australians, Fritz and Jørgen end up drawing lots to determine who must accept this terrible fate. Upon arriving in Denmark, Alice decides to send her friend Elsie ahead to the country house to take the measure of the two fellows and report back to her. She pretends to be Alice, and to complicate things further, Fritz and Jørgen have in the meantime hired two strange vagabonds, Pat and Patachon, to pretend to be them, hoping that this will make her turn around and leave immediately. By coincidence, Pat and Patachon are cast for the lead roles in a major film production. It quickly turns out that the odd couple doesn't fit in to just any plot, and especially Patachon's helpless attempts to play prince charming are testing the director's patience. (stumfilm.dk)

On a magnificent estate on the coast of Scania live a landowner, his wife, their daughter and a temporary lodger, baron. The lord and lady of the house eagerly try to bring the baron into the family as their son-in-law, but neither the baron nor their daughter, Eva, seem particularly interested. Eva is a bit of a wildcat who spends her days roaming the countryside and play fighting with her male friends, while the baron yearns for the urban sophistication of the city life from which he came. When an old friend, the celebrated actress Aspesia, invites him to attend some nearby film shoots, he doesn’t hesitate for a second. However, the letter from Aspesia ends up in the hands of two wandering knife grinders, Pat and Patachon, who soon find a way to use the letter’s contents to their own advantage. (Stumfilm.dk)

Pat and Patachon live in the attic of an old house along with a number of other curious kinds of people. One of the residents is a fortune teller, who tells Patachon that he will inherit a fortune and marry one of the two sweet choir girls who live next door, and whom he happens to be in love with. The two friends don’t think much more of it and instead head off to work, as models for a tailor. They stroll through the streets in sharp suits, in the hopes that the two choir girls will see them and think that they’re wealthy men, who simply live in the run-down house to study the bohemian lifestyle.

In an idyllic Danish town lives grocery Frost, a very wealthy man, and his greatest wish is that his son Hans will become a lawyer and reach a very prestigious position. But Hans can't complete high school and don't like studying. His main interest is music, but this he must keep hidden because both his parents are against it.

The attic of a city house is the home to a colony of artists. Among them is a writer, whose corpus is larger than her output. We also meet a hard-of-hearing poet who can still hear the grass growing. There's a painter, a sculptor and more. All are penniless - hoping that one day they will experience their breakthrough. "The Seventh Heaven", as the corridor is called, also houses two prominent residents, Fyrtårnet and Bivognen. They have set up a small diner and engage lively with the artist from the colony.

Overwhelmed by personal and professional problems, biologist Friedrich von Kammacher decides to travel abroad in order to regain the joy of living. During his adventurous journey he will meet two very different women, one of whom will be the key to his fate.
