An aging doorman, after being fired from his prestigious job at a luxurious hotel, is forced to face the scorn of his friends, neighbours and society.

Pat and Patachon live in the attic of an old house along with a number of other curious kinds of people. One of the residents is a fortune teller, who tells Patachon that he will inherit a fortune and marry one of the two sweet choir girls who live next door, and whom he happens to be in love with. The two friends don’t think much more of it and instead head off to work, as models for a tailor. They stroll through the streets in sharp suits, in the hopes that the two choir girls will see them and think that they’re wealthy men, who simply live in the run-down house to study the bohemian lifestyle.

On a magnificent estate on the coast of Scania live a landowner, his wife, their daughter and a temporary lodger, baron. The lord and lady of the house eagerly try to bring the baron into the family as their son-in-law, but neither the baron nor their daughter, Eva, seem particularly interested. Eva is a bit of a wildcat who spends her days roaming the countryside and play fighting with her male friends, while the baron yearns for the urban sophistication of the city life from which he came. When an old friend, the celebrated actress Aspesia, invites him to attend some nearby film shoots, he doesn’t hesitate for a second. However, the letter from Aspesia ends up in the hands of two wandering knife grinders, Pat and Patachon, who soon find a way to use the letter’s contents to their own advantage. (Stumfilm.dk)

The two friends, Fy and Bi, come wandering along the country road as so many times before without a destination and - without food. Hunger torments them, and they stop with wide eyes at a bakery truck, whose back door is open and opens the view to sumptuous trays of pastries and mayor's bars. However, they get a long nose and wander on to an old castle, where they seek accommodation for the night. In the castle cellar they open a book - and immediately they are back in the exciting events and deadly battles of the 15th century. And again we are back in the castle cellar, where Fy now with a bang closes the dusty, old book, and the two set out on the country road again.

Mr Kruse, a merchant, lives in a pleasant country house with his daughter Alice. Although Alice is busy studying for her exams, she finds time to flirt with the young, handsome Søren Hammer, much to her father’s displeasure. When the family goes sailing to celebrate Alice’s graduation, Søren Hammer and one of his friends follow in the students’ wake. Meanwhile, two vagabonds on the run from the law, Pat and Patachon, take possession of the country house and come up with a – in their opinion – clever ruse to make money. (Stumfilm.dk)

When the modest butcher’s wife becomes a wealthy landowner, it immidiately goes to her head. With her new stuck-up attitude, she rejects the long-time butcher’s apprentice when he asks for her daughter’s hand in marriage. Fortunately, the poor butcher’s apprentice is friends with Pat and Patachon, who work in a circus and have experience with clownery. Summer has arrived, and people are fleeing the sun-scorched, stony streets of the city. Pat and Patachon also leave the stifling streets behind to spend the summer in the countryside. Armed with a homemade camera, they hope to earn a living by taking photographs, though their efforts are not particularly successful. By chance, they come across an inn owned by the formidable Mother Hulda. She quickly sniffs out their attempt to make their escape without paying their bill, and while Patachon is forced to stay as collateral, Pat sets off to make some money. He becomes the subject of many unpleasant mishaps along the way, while Patachon is coerced into becoming engaged to Hulda and gets entangled in a conflict between Hulda, her daughter Grethe, and Grethe’s boyfriend Erik. A Swedish comedy from 1937. At castle Gyllenskiöld Holm a lawyer reads the deceased Count's will. Son Rouglas inherits the estate in front of Anne-Marie, Countess's daughter and the woman whom the testator had hoped to Rouglas would marry. But there is a supplement in the will to be read out after six months.

In a boarding house where young girls are kept under strict surveillance, only two persons of the male persuasion are allowed to enter. The gardeners Pat and Patachon are popular among the girls because they can play the accordion and sing songs, both cheerful and sad. One of the girls has attracted Pat and Patachon’s particular admiration: Eve, who dreams of becoming an actress. They clandestinely rehearse Shakespeare with her, but when their arrangement is discovered she is expelled. Pat and Patachon stage a kidnapping in hopes of uniting their friend Erik with his love interest Lissy.

Two musicians, Pat and Patachon, arrive in a peaceful little town. When they are about to be arrested because noise is not tolerated on the streets, a young solicitor helps them out of trouble and subsequently finds them jobs with an elderly laundrywoman. The town’s wealthy men are content with their quiet community and refuse to listen to the solicitor’s proposals for improvements and new initiatives to help everyone make money. However, with the help of Pat and Patachon, the solicitor cleverly persuades the men to change their minds. The old Italian Guido Bruzzio and his granddaughter Mona have ended up in one of the big cities in the Nordic countries, where he runs a plaster business. He has found a couple of tenacious helpers who go to work with life and desire.

Nikolajsen is shocked by the news that he has an adult daughter who lives in Jutland – where wild wolves wander! His friends – the baker, the butcher, the tailor and the shoemaker – are entranced by the honour and glory they would gain by venturing forth and exterminating the feral wolves. Unfortunately for their chances of success, Nikolajsen and Co. decide to hire Pat and Patachon as their hunting guides. In a boarding house in the city live our friends Pat and Patachon, who have settled down in relative comfort for a modest sum of money. In the room next door lives an old inventor, a good friend of Pat and Patachon's. He’s been working on a television set for some time now, and it seems that his efforts will bear fruit. Patachon has caught the inventing bug and wants to come up with smokeless and noiseless gunpowder. All the while, Pat becomes increasingly worried about his friend. Two shady gentlemen are now attempting to steal the valuable drawings for the television invention, and Pat and Patachon become suspects in the case. Fortunately, the real thieves are caught, and Patachon gets the opportunity to demonstrate his ingenious invention.

Hans and Elinor are in love, but have to meet clandestinely to avoid the keen eyes of the headmistress at the home for girls where Elinor lives. When they are discovered, they seek refuge in a Chinese gazebo used by the vagabonds Pat and Patachon as a cheap summer residence. However, the two vagabonds quickly vacate the premises to let the young couple stay there. As a thank you, Hans, who is a sailor, enrols Long and Short as part of the crew on his rich uncle’s boat and invites the entire girls’ institute and its headmistress on a sailing trip. In disguise, Hans hopes to spend some time with Elinor, but once again they fail to deceive the headmistress. Long and Short now come upon the idea of hiring a brickworks, whose owner turns out to be Elinor’s uncle. But mysterious things happen at the factory, which does not make entirely ordinary bricks, and Long and Short find themselves caught up in yet another heady drama. (stumfilm.dk)

Fyrtårnet and Bivognen are gardeners at a residence for young women. Here they are friends with budding actress Eva, but when the three reveal one evening during the performance of an illegal theater performance, they are kicked out. By detours, they get on board a schooner, where Fy and Bi play up to dance and get seasick, while Eva still has her course set against the sloping boards.

The rental barracks ‘The Seventh Heaven’ is a small world in itself. Strong Ole, Red Lotte and Lise Holm, who works at the chocolate factory, live here. Director Jessen lives with his sons Fritz and Jørgen in a country house on the coast of Øresund. One day, Jessen announces that his boss is coming to visit from Australia, and that he will bring along his daughter, Alice. Jessen further proclaims that he wants one of his sons to marry Alice. Full of prejudice against Australians, Fritz and Jørgen end up drawing lots to determine who must accept this terrible fate. Upon arriving in Denmark, Alice decides to send her friend Elsie ahead to the country house to take the measure of the two fellows and report back to her. She pretends to be Alice, and to complicate things further, Fritz and Jørgen have in the meantime hired two strange vagabonds, Pat and Patachon, to pretend to be them, hoping that this will make her turn around and leave immediately. Birdwatcher Professor Petersen goes on a summer trip to a remote rocky island. The uninhabited island is home to birds, disturbing scantily clad young girls and a gang of bootleggers. Pat Patachon reluctantly toil for the smugglers, who take Professor Petersen prisoner. The two friends are assigned to guard the suspected spy Petersen, but soon escape together with their new pal. A gang of thieves led by an unusually cunning criminal named Terry has been terrorizing the city for some time. The police are completely powerless, and in his embarrassment, the police director turns to a famous detective and asks him to try to expose this gang and, above all, get hold of Terry. Our two friends, the Lighthouse and the Beehive, have set up shop in a small kiosk.
