Society's Enemy

Baghdadi is an honest man, who works in a blacksmithing factory owned by Master Mabrouk. He gets fired from work after he refused to pay royalty to the foreman. He lives a life of destitution with his wife and daughter, which makes him turn to theft, but his first theft leads him to commit murder.

Zanuba

(Atiya Abu Hadid) is a thug and a thief who leads a gang to commit his crimes. He loves one of the neighborhood girls (Naana’a), who is engaged to her cousin (Al-Atra), a soldier in the army, who goes to participate in the Palestine war, so the atmosphere is clear for Atiya. He devises a plan to make the master (Hassan), Naana’a’s brother, fall in love with Zenouba, a girl whom Atiya exploits for his own despicable purposes.

Sad Melody

Professor Mahmoud loves the dancer Samia, who discovered her talent even with the age difference between them, but she treats him as a friend. When singer Adel comes to work with them, Samia is attracted to him, which causes Mahmoud's jealousy, and makes him sign with another casino.

A madman exposes humanity’s insanity. Andeel leaves a mental hospital after 10 years of treatment are over to face the world again. Whenever he reveals that he used to be a mental patient, he is faced with aggressive suspicion, cruelty and rejection. When a shop owner refuses to hire him, he yells that he is the only one with an official certificate that proves he is actually sane. We follow his miserable search for a job and watch situations in which, over and over again, he gets very close to a decent life just before his unrestrained tongue reveals a side of his madness that freaks people out. Andeel is an honest, kind person who’s good at what he does, but people’s uncontrollable fear of madness makes them want to get rid of him and the uncomfortable state he puts them in, probably because of how normal he seems, just like them, yet how crazy he is, like they fear they might be.

Khataf Merati

A young man and a girl get married without love. They are visited by the wife’s cousin and the husband’s cousin. The wife seizes this opportunity and approaches the husband’s cousin to make her husband jealous. The husband also courtes the wife’s cousin to make her jealous.

Bent Al-Akaber

The Flirtation of Girls

Hamam is a poor Arabic language teacher who gets sacked from a girls' elementary school for not being able to control mischievous students. He feels pessimistic about everything in life,but his freind,an employee working for a pasha finds him a job as a private teacher for his only daughter Laila in order to help her pass an exam. Laila treats Hamam like a friend and helps him to appreciate life and enjoy its qualities,and the man soon is drawn to her.

Fatouma

Fatima learns from Dr. Wahid Farid that her husband left her a letter before his death, informing her that he intends to commit suicide. When he goes to Khorshid Bey's house, he is surprised that he is not dead and threatens him with a gun. Wahid pulls out his gun and kills his lover's husband. In front of the police, he tells the story, that he has known Fatima for a long time when she almost committed suicide, but Dr. Wahid gave her hope and asked her to marry him.

Forbidden at the Wedding Night

Zarifa objects the marriage of her daughter Mona from Tahsin, as she wants her married to a wealthy man, while Ashour, Mona's father, supports the marriage. Zarifa dies, and Ashour, Mona and Tahsin settle on a wedding date, only to see Zarifa's spirit appearing to them trying to spoil their plans.

She resorts to the judiciary, and the uncle offers her to marry his son, Amr, who is sick with a malignant disease.

A strict father refuses to let his beautiful daughter marry the young pilot she loves, believing that the life of a pilot is filled with danger. The pilot sees a dead end, but that does not prevent him from using his cunning to persuade his beloved's father of their marriage.

Abdel-Wadood regrets his behavior with Aziza and Wahid and reveals the truth about his brother to Omar.

Zouba the maid, loves acting and steals a large sum of money from her wealthy employer Sharif and promises to return it later. She asks filmmaker Farhat to make a film for her after claiming to have inherited her uncle. She gets arrested, but Farhat convinces Sharif to give up his money until the film is finished.
