Your Harvest May Be Delayed

An artist films her performance piece in public.

Following the death of his parents, a man remains in the family house. There, he reveals to his son his late father’s journal, a record of the family’s life after the destruction of their village. As they flip through its pages for the first time, the family’s history unfolds, and together they summon his father’s spirit.

Sibilla, a radio reporter, travels to a small town in central Italy to make an audio documentary. There, in 1982, a young woman had been killed, in an act of apparently inexplicable violence. Through voices and sounds, Sibilla evokes the ghosts of a past event, recording the last reverberations of the victim’s memory.

As the filmmaker returns to his childhood home, he observes the unoccupied rooms through the eyes of his mother after her first pregnancy three decades prior.
