The Birthday Party

Faced with life changing news, María, a fifty-five-year-old Spanish woman from Bilbao, chooses to take a trip to Greece with her closest girlfriends against the advice of her son and doctors. A spontaneous decision leads her to the island of Nisyros, a tiny haven of peace and calm that immediately feels like home. And, while Luis’s quest helps him to reunite with his people, the viewer is able to observe the real life goings-on behind a two-star Michelin restaurant created by a devoted family who are always passionate about their work and determined to offer people the best of themselves.
