The Final Gala: Quebec Comedy Legends

Maripier Morin and her sidekick Martin Perizzolo welcome guests on the set on Z’s first talk show.

Renowned for his precision and corrosive humor, Guillaume Wagner boldly tackles subjects such as homophobia, the evolution of our collective rituals and superficiality. Without falling into cynicism, he skillfully laughs at our individual and collective failings, without forgetting to include himself in the process. Winner of three prestigious awards for emerging artists, he has won over an already loyal audience that has been eagerly awaiting this very first show. As he says himself, Cinglant is a show for everyone, but not for everyone.

More mature without being wise, as incredible as it is true, Cathy Gauthier is about to dazzle you with a third, more personal and authentic show. Between her childhood memories, which are unusual to say the least, and her enlightened view of current realities, the one who dreamed of being a “beautiful princess” has amassed her share of hilarious disillusionments. She shares them without restraint, with the energy and rhythm that make her a great comedian.

“Straight-Guy Porn” is a wildly popular subgenre of online amateur pornography that features supposedly heterosexual men having sex with other men for a gay male audience. Why do some gay men prefer to watch sex between two heterosexual men? Where does this desire come from? Is it innate or is it learned? And why would men who identify as straight choose to perform in gay porn? Straight Guys follows filmmaker Daniel Laurin on his journey to answer these questions and reconcile his own relationship to this type of pornography. Daniel speaks to porn historians, porn theorists, porn producers and the performers themselves.

A tribute to the Quebec population who are fighting against the COVID-19 epidemic. Several artists are participating in this outpouring of solidarity to recognize the essential work of our guardian angels and to encourage people to give back.

Véronic DiCaire invites three celebrity guests to come and sing on set with her! In a series of musical scenes directly inspired by the artistic interests and dreams of her guests, Véronic will perform with them and, occasionally, bring their musical dreams to life.
