Bare Voice

This documentary celebrates legendary Bengali singer-songwriter Kabir Suman and his enduring muse, Kolkata. While showcasing a formidable body of Suman's timeless songs, which also construct the narrative of his life, the film demonstrates why he might just be world's greatest unsung singer-songwriter and how easily genius too can slip through the cracks of history.

Padatik

The film follows Mrinal Sen in his early days around the time of India’s independence, where he is a struggling idealist with an all-consuming hunger for cinema but unable to feed himself or his young wife, to 1950s Calcutta, where (alongside Satyajit Ray) he helped start the Indian New Wave cinema movement.

Rajkahini

In August 1947, the British passed a bill regarding the partition of Bengal. Delving into the grim history of the Partition, Mukherjee's movie Rajkahini is woven around a border between the two nations that runs through a brothel housing 11 women.

Gaaner Oparey

The story revolves around a girl called Sohini (more commonly known as Pupe) from an orthodox Tagore worshipping family and Gora, an extremely talented but carefree lad, who keeps on experimenting with Rabindra sangeet. The story traces their relationship and human emotions through an imaginative portrayal of Tagore, his true ideals and their significance today. It also portrays the patriarchal society still prevalent in modern India.The serial used more than fifty Tagore songs and brought out their relevance in the lives of the protagonists. The cast was composed of stalwarts such as Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Dipankar De plus newcomers Gaurav and Arjun Chakrabarty (sons of Sabyasachi Chakrabarty ). The female lead was played by Mimi Chakrabarty in only her second project as an actress. The show has portrayed three different forms of Rabindrasangeet: the more traditional kind through the voice of Pupe, a fused version with Hindustani classical music, through the voice of Pradipto, and an 'unplugged' rendition, sometimes incorporating rap words and band music, through Gora.

Arun, a famous Bengali actor, approves Shuvobrata's proposal of remaking Satyajit Ray's famous film 'Nayak'. Problems arise when Shuvobrata requests his live-in girlfriend Shrin to act opposite Arun.

Gumnaami

Gumnaami is a film based on the Mukherjee Commission Hearings which happened from 1999 to 2005 where the three theories about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's death were discussed and debated. It is a dramatization of the hearings where an investigative journalist supporting the Gumnaami Baba theory locks horns with the official lawyer who supports the plane crash theory. In their clash, the Death in Russia theory also comes up.
