'Ungrateful' is a romantic drama that takes place at the time of Moses and charts the stories, alliances and feuds between a number of Jewish tribes. Among other stories and subplots, it tells the story of two Jewish cousins, Ameel and Ashel, who both want to marry Anael, the beautiful girl of the tribe. But a murder disturbs the peace of their Jewish tribes. This film is inspired by the famous story of Moses' sacrificial cow.

Amir Hossein, Manouchehr, and Shahkar are young and unmarried who decide to go to Emirates in order to find well-paid jobs. Unfortunately, Shahkar gets mugged by a motor rider and they lose all of their money. Shahkar's uncle suggests them working in a workshop owned by a young lady called Ms. Arabshahi. Akbar, Nader, Abbas and Reza, who have been good friends since childhood, all want to achieve an aspiration. Abbas and Nader are wearing uniforms, Akbar joins his uncle's smuggling gang and Reza, who is paralyzed, does not wish for anything other than to continue his friendship with the other three.

Shahbal, a member of the Black Mountain tribe, gets into a fight with several people and rides a horse towards Musa Khan's tribe with a wounded body. Musa Khan's sons and some of his men want to kill him, but Musa Khan prevents him and entrusts his daughter Ghazal to heal his wounds.
