Mariupol. Reconstruction

Svitlana, a Russian-speaking Ukrainian, examines the colonised part of her consciousness and tries to find answers to the question of how Soviet totalitarianism and Russification influenced the relationships within her family.

The film tells the stories of three protagonists, which are intertwined in one story about the Master: a rural school pupil who dreams of ballroom dancing – Makar, world champion in ballroom dancing – Alex Ivanets, and his first teacher – Petro Horhol, who lives in a small Ukrainian town of Poltava.

Military actions have been ongoing in the East of Ukraine for 3 years now. From the first days of war in different hot military action zones women are part of the actions and perform military tasks. However, society still retains an ambiguous, stereotypical attitude towards women in the army...

The main character, 36-year-old Polina, is a perfectionist who seeks to arrange her life according to social standards, as a result of which she develops depression. Polina gets a job in a thrift store: it's quiet there, but you have to sell not perfect things to imperfect people. She is faced with a choice: to return to a prestigious job that destroys her, or to stay in an imperfect world and be happy.

Putting his reputation at stake, the ambitious Ukrainian border guard finds the masterpieces of art stolen in Verona.
