Kolya Pavlyukov lives in a small village. He can never find a job to his liking. But here in the village, many years after the Great Patriotic War, a front-line friend of the deceased father Kolya arrives. Only one day goes by, one long day...

In a training flight, the Il-28 plane crashes. Shooter-radio operator Sorokin without an order leaves the plane, lands first and writes a denunciation to the pilot Yegorov. Yegorov has to leave military service, his beloved girlfriend Nadya is leaving him. Sixteen years have passed since then. Nadya is married to the slanderer Sorokin and brings up a son with him who doesn't know who his real father is. One day, the whole family ends up on an airplane controlled by Yegorov. Clarification of relations leads to a belated triumph of truth, which affects all heroes: one destroys, the other exalts, in the third instills hope...

The basis of the picture is not only the storylines of the heroes, but also the principle of continuous action of actors with the audience. Each of the five different short stories leads to the fact that for the decision: to maintain relationships or destroy them? This choice has to be made by the viewer himself.

A group of old friends have a tradition of going to a public bathing house on New Year's Eve. Occasionally too much vodka and beer makes two of them unconscious. The problem is that one of them (Sasha) has to go to Leningrad but another one (Zhenya) goes. Zhenya wakes up at Leningrad airport. Believing that he is still in Moscow he takes a taxi and goes home. The street name, building and even apartment number, the way an apartment complex looks the same and the key coincide completely - just typical Soviet-type 'economy' architecture. Imagine the surprise of Nadya when she enters her apartment and finds a man without trousers in her bed. What's more - Nadya's fiancé also finds him there...

The boy Igor receives a dog as a gift for his birthday and runs away from home with it. But now the two of them must save Igor's father, an astronaut, from death.

Our days. Curious schoolboy Senka finds himself in a fairy-tale forest, hidden from human eyes by the spell of Yaga. To cast the spell again, Yaga goes to a modern city in search of a magical wonderful color. In the city, Koshchei, who remained alive after the battle with Ivan Tsarevich, has been waiting for a meeting with Yaga for a thousand years. Koschei is hiding in a dark dungeon and wants revenge, because it was Yaga who helped defeat him. There will be a new battle of good and evil. The winner will be the one who will be supported by the schoolboy Senka, who until the last did not believe that he was in a fairy tale.

Fyodor is a failed actor, he is trying to help his younger brother Nikita learn to walk again. Dressed as Santa Claus, Fyodor goes out on orders, hoping to raise money for an operation during the holidays. He is the saddest Santa Claus in the world, because, on top of all the other troubles, just before the New Year, his beloved girlfriend left him. And so, on December 31, he rings the doorbell of another apartment to give gifts from his parents to another pair of children, and then... the real New Year's magic begins. The girl Masha, seeing Father Frost, immediately decides that this particular Father Frost should fall in love with her mother and become a father for her and her brother Tolya. But that is not all. Each hero of this story, even those who do not believe in Miracles at all, receives their long-awaited gift, finds happiness, love and faith that the New Year is truly a holiday that can completely change life.

The film tells the story of high school graduates, their first — still school — problems and challenges, Hobbies and disappointments, friendship and dreams.
