”Tiga suku”, which literally translates into “three quarters”, is a Malay term used in the context of describing crazy, whacky or oddball-like behaviour; of being mentally “not quite there”. And “Mat Tiga Suku” is indeed an eccentric film that seeks to subvert our usual sense of logic, decorum and good taste. In this film, Mat Sentul is a poor and helpless man, lives in a house that talks to him, and daydreams about wealth and pretty princesses. It is an episodic adventure that follows the slapstick antics of Mat Sentul who, among many pranks, moves the bus-stop at his will, halts an aeroplane that does not give way, and pretends to be an office worker, a barber and a doctor.

In the Katong area, in eastern Singapore, lives Jaafar, a rich man, together with his wife Rubiah and her brother, the charming but badly-behaved Salim. One day, Salim visits his grandfather in Johor, where he meets a young and attractive girl, Salbiah. Salbiah's family is deeply in debt to a man, and unable to pay him back. The only solution is for Salbiah to marry that man. Salim, after sympathizing with Salbiah, promises to help raise the money. Ecstatic and thankful, Salbiah gives her chastity to Salim. Back in Singapore, Salim, after a long silence, writes to her that he in fact cannot help her and that he will not see her again. Heartbroken, Salbiah leaves her family and starts wandering through Singapore in search of the treacherous Salim.

The movie adaptation based on the legend of Raden May Ayu. It follows the original tale rather closely, though a few variations of the legend do exist. The essence of each of the variations is more or less the same: Radin Mas Ayu is the baby daughter of Pangeran (brother of the Sultan of Java) and a court dancer; she is forced to go on exile to Temasek with his father after the Sultan disagrees with her parents' marriage and burns their house down, killing her mother. Radin Mas Ayu grows up to be a pious and filial daughter, but is despised out of jealousy by her stepmother. She eventually sacrifices herself as she shields her father from a murderous attack.

Jamal the son of Kamal a woodsman owner is married to Aminah. Their marriage is blessed even more with Mardiana their new born. Abidin a young composer finally returns home after 5 years pursuing his career. He was shocked to find out that the love of his life is now blind. He strives hard to gain back her sight. Hassan, Abidin's close friend also hides his feelings for Juwita. Hassan gets the help of Rohani, a dancer in Abidin's band to derail his concentration to her instead. She took the oppurtunity for sure because Rohani as well has feelings for Abidin. Abidin left Hassan in charge to look after Juwita during her operation because he had to go to Bangkok for a performance In bangkok Rohani sent a false telegram to Juwita saying that Abidin had died in a terrible accident. What will be of Juwita hearing the bad news?

The first of the four 'Bujang Lapok' ('Worn Out Bachelor') movies. This first one chronicles the loves and lives of three bachelors living in 1950s Singapore.

Khatijah is a greedy and insecure stepmother who hates her stepdaughter, Fatimah. While her husband is away, she hires an assassin to murder Fatimah. But the assassin sympathizes with Fatimah and, instead of killing her, cuts off one of her hands which he shows to Khatijah as a proof of her death.

Manis and her fisherman father receive a guest named Suleiman at their humble kampung house. He is well-liked by them both and becomes a frequent visitor who helps out with the daily chores. Unbeknownst to Manis, the young man is in fact a prince-in-disguise. So a romance between a royal and a commoner blossoms, as the couple exchange teasing pantuns at the next opportunity - while gathering wood, or while tidying up the rumah ibu. All is bliss when Manis agrees to marry Suleiman in secret even after finding out his true identity. Separation of the loving pair beckons when the prince receives news from the palace and returns to his ailing father, who at his death bed agrees to a royal intermarriage between his son and a princess from a neighbouring monarchy. A family reconciliation and cursed tragedy ensue.

The film draws on the tribulations following the Japanese Occupation and the subsequent stirrings of nationalism that arose. It marked the first time that both Chinese and Malay were portrayed on equal footing in a local production, with dialogue in both languages to depict how racial unity ensured the success of guerilla warfare in that era. The film follows the Malay protagonist, Rashid, in his work as a radio spy signaller for the allied forces in Japanese-occupied Singapore until his arrest by the Kempetai (Japanese military police) and subsequent escape and encounter with the man who betrayed him. - Government of Singapore

The film tells the story of a young Javanese man, Ahmad, who leaves his village with a magic protective dagger given to him by his mother. He takes to the seas, eager to discover the world. He reaches the exotic Arabian coast, and travels all the way to Egypt, encountering belly dancers, harem women, etc. He meets Princess Nilam and falls in love. Nilam's father will allow Ahmad to marry her only if he brings back a blue diamond guarded by monsters at a faraway location.

Chaos is unleashed in several villages by an old demonic witch who rises from the dead. In a creepy hut filled with kemenyan incense smoke, an old witch is performing a ritual with a skull on a pedestal. The skull then transforms into a talking head that laughs often! “Aku tidak mahu mati! (I don’t want to die)” she cackles, and the head grants her wish.

A man falls in love with a woman above his station. Zul is working at a stable owned by Johan. Eventually at the same time Zul fell in love with Johan's daughter Jelita. But after being ridiculed and mocked by Johan and his friends Husin, Zul resigned from his job and wanted to be a sailor instead. But unfortunately the ship he was on was hit with a big tidal wave and began sinking. Zul ended being thrown on the shore of an island not known to him. Will he ever see his Jelita again after this? How will he ever find a way to save his own life?

Badan’s strength was known by the Sultan where he was appointed as a warrior of the Sultan. Apart from that he has also won many strength competitions across the country. While in all this fame he has fallen for a girl who has also fallen for him. But due to his promise to the water ghost he cant. So, who does he choose his powerful strength or his true love?

Hang Tuah and his four sworn brothers, Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir and Hang Lekiu, has pledged to protect the Sultan of Malacca. With their dedication, the five brothers rose quickly from the ranks, especially Hang Tuah whom has proven himself to be an able warrior and leader. When Hang Tuah managed to persuade Tun Teja to marry the Sultan of Malacca, the Sultan was overjoyed and rewarded Hang Tuah with full honours. The old guards felt threatened and envious, decided to frame him.

The fairy tale is about two sisters, Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih. After their father dies, Bawang Merah and her mother, Labu, have to share the house with domineering Kundor and Bawang Putih. Bawang Merah has to endure more hardship when her mother dies. She is bullied, beaten and abused in every way imaginable by Kundor and Bawang Putih. As the tale goes, her mother eventually reappears – as a fish. Bawang Merah becomes happier and this puzzles both Kundor and Bawang Putih. Her ship comes in when a Prince hears her singing in the woods and marries her. Of course, Kundor is terribly unhappy that her brat, Bawang Putih, is married to none, let alone a prince. So she devises an evil scheme to destroy Bawang Merah’s marriage and get the prince to notice Bawang Putih.

Things get complicated when Amir returns from the city and tells his mother that he's going to marry Aminah a girl from another village not Rosini. THis wasn't accepted by his mother but in the end they got married. Unfortunately the day Amir brings back his new wife to meet his sister, Faridah was caught in a terrible accident and had passed away. His mother has accused Aminah for bringing bad omen into the family.

'Hantu Kubor' is the sequel to 'Hantu Jerangkong' (1957), and the story here continues from the earlier film. Following her extermination, Mak Hitam the witch comes back to life as a grave ghost haunting the village cemetery. She threatens to cause chaos if the newly-wed Musa does not comply with her demands. When Tok Penghulu (the village chief) and the villagers find themselves unable to match the supernatural prowess of Mak Hitam, they seek help from Tok Pawang (the shaman) who understands the genesis of Mak Hitam's occult power and knows a way to subdue her.
