Áramótaskaup: 2018 is an Icelandic TV movie satirizing the events of the past year.

Two childhood friends decide to drive around Iceland backward to raise money for charity. Soon after they set out, however, they discover that perhaps this wasn't the best idea. Nothing goes as planned - in fact, almost everything goes wrong.

A short film inspired by the story of an office clerk who sets out to lose himself. Looking at the forces that drive us beyond reason, the film explores the limits of man in nature and the consequences of getting what you want.

The dentist Oscar has been married for five years and lives with his wife and adopted children. On the surface everything seems to be fine but Oscar is not a happy man. Katrin gets a job as a dentist's assistant intending to make a fresh start but her troubled past catches up with her.
