Takarazuka Cosmos Troupe. The show opens with Robert Jordan being introduced at a charity event . He tells his hostess that he can't join her for the after party, as he is flying first to Paris, and then to Spain to rejoin the Republican forces. He has been going there sporadically, helping as a volunteer sent on commando missions to blow up important military targets (mainly bridges). In Madrid he meets General Golz of military intelligence, who sends him on his most dangerous and critical mission yet, to blow up a bridge in Guadarrama. It is a major hinge of a Republican offensive push, timed to begin in four days.

Lightning in the Daytime / Temptation!

Early in the nineteenth century in Paris, an evening party is held at Martin's residence on rue de la Chaussee d'Antin. Galantine, the residence's owner and widow of Duke Martin, holds a salon which is a social gathering of important people such as famous nobles, artists, and industrialists. At the party, a baron's second son Albert reunites with a count's daughter Vivianne whom he has known since childhood. After the loss of her father and elder brother who had stood against the present government, she was exiled to England along with her mother. However, following the advice of her aunt Galantine, she returned to Paris several years later when the government's vengeance against the opposition had subsided. Vivian and Albert are very delighted at their meeting again after a long interval and enthusiastically talk as if they were filling in the long blank of several years.

In the Amber-Hued Rain / Je t’aime

Duke Claude de Bernard returns home exhausted from World War I. In the autumn of 1922, while walking in the Forest of Fontainebleau, he comes across an incredibly beautiful woman named Sharon Kazatti. Soon joined by ladies and gentlemen coming out of a soiree, she slips away out of his sight. Claude utters in spite of himself that she is a woman of sublime beauty. Hearing Claude's exclamation, a young man tells Claude that she is only a mannequin, not worthy of his praise and belonging to a world other than his. The young man's name is Louis Valentin and he is a gigolo. It seems that Louis cares for Sharon as well. Claude denies Louis's assertion, saying that she also has a soul just like him. A strange kinship grows between the two as they find that they both are attracted to the same woman. They decide to fairly compete to win Sharon's heart.

Yukariko

Northern Italy is under Austrian rule in the late 1850s. Lorenzo Croce, an official of Milan, sees for the first time Francesca, the daughter of Martini, a Milanese silk fabrics merchant. The headquarters of the Austrian army has suspended the business of her family due to a suspicion that her elder brother Pietro is a member of an anti-Austrian group. Lorenzo is ordered by his superior to investigate Pietro.

Monica's lover gets jealous and starts a fight, and is killed. Francisco is now a criminal. He is captured, and then he meets Rosalia once more in the prison. She has planned a jailbreak with Francisco's aunt....
