During spring break, Qizhe’s double life unravels as a secret online connection clashes with his role as the “perfect” son at home.

Wen Yuwen, a cute and naive high school girl, loves Chinese far more than math. She tentatively steps into billiard halls, clothing stores and hotels — places of the adult world. She also begins to confront growing pains: relationships with the opposite sex, studying abroad, and her father’s infidelity. Confused yet brave at times, she embarks on a stumbling adventure of youth.

On a piece of wasteland in midsummer in southern China, teenager Amao is on all fours being trained like a dog by a man. They part, and full of shame and fury, Amao finds he is surprisingly enthralled with the man’s state of superiority. He imitates the way the man carries himself and fantasizes about becoming that way. When he happens upon a white puppy one day, he gets a taste of that power, and a wild idea gradually surfaces in his mind, bringing a red hue to the night.

A young couple live in a small apartment in the city. He earns little and she’s pregnant. Through their brief exchanges and moments of solitude, it becomes clear that their relationship has, without realising, edged towards crisis point.

It retains the reflection of the unique cultural atmosphere of southeast China in "Koali & Rice", whil at the same time the protagonist focuses on the elderly group again. It is a story of an old man who has been let down by the gods.
