A wedding in the interior of Rio Grande, 1930. Among the guests, a lover of the bride, accompanied by his pregnant wife. Amid the joy of the party, the lovers decide to run away. So, the groom gathers a group of friends and sets out to seek revenge.

A coming of age dramatic comedy dealing with the effect that two "summers" have on the lives of several teenagers. The main story involves an innocent teenage boy and a conniving teenage girl who meet on a beach one summer in Southern Brazil. They meet up again the following summer

Porto Alegre anxiously awaits the passage of the German airship towards Montevideo. Júlio, an accountant, finds a way not to take his wife Mariana, a seamstress, who stays at home, sad. But while Júlio and his lover Leda see very little of Zeppelin, Mariana, at home, indulges in an overwhelming passion.

It tells the story of the Camabará family for many generations, which were fundamental to the social and political formation of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The stories are remembered by Dona Bibiana, who remembers the life of her grandmother Ana, her husband, the Captain Rodrigo, his son Bolivar and his daughter-in-law Luzia.
