Reza, the veteran worker of a print house whose sight is adversely affected because of his job, loses his mother. Finding the gloom reigning over the home beyond bearing, he departs to overcome his sorrows. He ends up at a hostel where he shares his room with a southern guy called Ahmad who has a group of orphan war-stricken children under his wing. After the initial inkling gives way to the friendship, Reza discovers that Ahmad's patron plies his trade in black-market. At the same time, Reza's sister is constantly beaten and humiliated by her husband for being infertile.

Inspired by Shakespeare’s Othello, Rebellion tells the story of Kazem, the foreman of a factory who is regarded with respect by other workers. There are however people who are not happy with this and conspire against him and arouse his suspicions about his wife and his closest friend…

A gypsy woman named Setareh, after being rejected from home, leaves her young son Ali next to a house and runs away. Farrash-bashi (School Janitor) finds Ali and takes him to his workplace, which is a busy elementary school, and takes care of him with the help of school children.

A man not content with his wife, falls in love with a club dancer; but doesn't tell her he is married. The story is as bitter as real life.
