Kazuo Umezu

A series of interconnected vignettes regarding Makoto Sawada, an energetic yet socially inept kindergartner, and his long-suffering family. Makoto strives to receive the title of his school's "Best Child" award, resulting in chaos and misunderstandings wherever he goes.

Five people visit an abandoned building where five girls disappeared ten years ago when they tried to summon ghosts. These five people who visit the building has met on a website for people with supernatural powers. With their abilities realize these people that they should leave the building as quickly as possible, the problem is that all doors are suddenly gone.

An entire Japanese international grade school—and all within—are mysteriously transported to a foreboding desert wasteland. As the story unfolds, the diminishing student body weathers this apocalyptic crisis while searching for clues about their surroundings, and dealing with psychological breakdown and dangerous exterior forces.

The story of Orochi revolves around the life of the Monzen family. Aoi Monzen, a famous, but aging, movie star and Kazusa and Lisa Monzen her two daughters. Aoi hopes for them both to take over her legacy as a star, but Kazusa does not live up to her expectations. The mother is always pitting the girls against one another competitively. As a result, as the years pass, the love the sisters shared grows to a hidden hatred. When another girl named Orochi saves the girl's mother from a terrible accident a bizarre chain of events is set in motion spanning many years. The atmosphere in their estate builds up until Orochi reveals a terrible truth that the family must keep hidden from the world. Orochi serves as the narrator of the story. The movie is based on a Kazuo Umezu manga series which ran from 1969 to 1970.

A spy satellite has malfunctioned and is going to crash into the Earth. The US government bring on line a power laser. When the laser strikes the satellite, it causes a rip and time and sends Monroe High school 200 years into the future, including teachers, students and an escaping criminal. The students find themselves in a barren world, where they are set upon by the escaped criminal and a fierce monster.

An obstetrician Jeon Dong-Kuk' wife gives birth to a cat baby. Taken a pessimistic view of this, he replaces the baby with a newborn baby in the hospital. Nineteen years later, developing a new remodeling technology, Dong-Kuk comes back to Korea and has his daughter's birthday party. At that time, a cat woman, Yun-Ok comes to Dong-Kuk and he undergoes a plastic operation on her face. Then, his daughter, So-Young's face turns into a cat's. When Dong-Kuk operates on Yun-Ok's face again, So-Young gets back her face. Yun-Ok tries to kill Dong-Kuk. Finally, Dong-Kuk and his real daughter Yun-Ok die together.

A beautiful girl, Yōko, gets lost one night during an air raid and is taken in by an orphanage. Eventually, she is reunited with her own family and goes home to live with them. But there, an unexpected fate awaits her as she is subjected to horrific brutality from these people who are tortured by a past mistake.

A lonely schoolboy discovers a block of wood carved into the shape of a human head. Seeking companionship he and the puppet-doll become best playmates. Soon things begin to change and the situation goes from innocent to downright sinister.

After participating to a previous show where they have to bet or be challenged to any kind of competitions, the losing members of the Gaki no Tsukai are selected to spend 24 hours in a setting which they have no knowledge of the theme nor the course of the events. They are exposed to various absurd and crazy situations nonstop for 24 hours and must refrain from laughing. If they do so, hang-men appear and hit the rule breakers with a weapon (the weapon varies every year).

It's January 7, just after the New Year begins. Make up classes are being held for students that aren't keeping up with their daily studies; anxious students are there to discuss their exams; and club activities are still in progress. Asami Akio, a teacher, finds himself at the gate of the school with Misaki Yuka, a woman he met long ago and had lost contact with. Before he can explain their disconnect, a group shudders as an earthquakes rocks the school. When it subsides... nothing is the same.

The story is told by the cat-eyed boy, hated by humans and demons, who engages in tales of terror, including monsters and children.
