At the height of the military dictatorship, an abandoned mansion in the center of São Paulo is occupied by militants, hippies, maniacs, homosexuals, punks, artists and poets, as well as immigrants from different parts of the world.

On the eve of his return to Europe after an extended involuntary stay in 16th-century Brazil, the German sailor Hans Staden is captured by a hostile cannibal Indian tribe. In order to survive he tries to convince the Indians that he is not Portuguese (their enemies) but a friend of the French (their allies), and that his God would be very angry if they were to eat him.

Os Trapalhões was a Brazilian comedy group and also a Brazilian television series created by Wilton Franco. Its members were Dedé Santana, Zacarias, Mussum and their leader Didi Mocó, that was played by Renato Aragão. The name Trapalhões is derived from the Portuguese verb atrapalhar, which means the opposite of helping, to do something the wrong way or to Those that confuse. Brasileiros e Brasileiras is a Brazilian telenovela shown in some schedules SBT between November 5, 1990 and May 14, 1991. Writing for the show was done by Carlos Alberto Sofredini and Walter Avancini, who also directed it. The show was a co-production of the Miksom.

Dona Anja is a Brazilian telenovela produced by JPO Produções and originally broadcast by SBT from December 9, 1996, to April 26, 1997. Based on the novel of the same name by Josué Guimarães, it was adapted by Cristianne Fridman and Yoya Wursch, with general direction by Roberto Talma. The telenovela stars Lucélia Santos, Jonas Mello, Angelina Muniz, Danton Mello, Manuela Dias, Giuseppe Oristânio, Luiz Guilherme, and Sérgio Mamberti. Set in 1977 in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul, the story follows Anja Guimarães Castilhos, a woman who breaks with the conservative traditions of her town after discovering her fiancé's betrayal. Together with Colonel Quineu, she becomes the owner of a brothel and challenges the values of local society by defending women's independence and questioning social norms.
