A feature film based on the novella by Yuri Koval, recounting a whimsical and humorous journey aboard a homemade boat through the Vologda region. The picture consists of two parallel storylines. The first follows the adventures of the novella’s protagonist, whose absurd escapade unexpectedly transforms into a mystical experience amidst the rivers, marshes, and villages of the countryside. The second centers on a theatrical production based on Koval’s book — staged by a group of students — which reveals the backstory: how the book’s hero came to yearn to break free from Moscow and retreat far away from everyone — including his friends — deep into the heart of nature.

The Humorist is a film about a week in the life of Boris Arkadiev, a fictional Soviet stand-up comedian. Boris is tormented not only by external oppression and censorship but also by his own insecurities that poison all his relationships.

Sasha, Pasha and Lesha meet at a therapy course for men traumatized by women. Yes, there are some, because in the world of strong women, many men have lost themselves. But our heroes do not want to be victims, they decide to "go on the warpath" and restore justice. One problem - they are still slobs.

During his life, Franz Kafka was a modest closed clerk, literature was his secret passion. By his own admission, he felt Flaubert, Dostoevsky and Gogol as his "blood brothers", but he bequeathed to burn his manuscripts. However, friends violated the last will of the author. Kafka's works, filled with bizarre images and paradoxical plots, were published posthumously and brought him worldwide fame. Today, Kafka is perceived as a brilliant prophet of the madness of the 20th century, and his name has become synonymous with a special type of absurdity.

The beginning of the 2000s. New realities, instant adaptation to the proposed circumstances, enchanting careers, unexpected unknown professions... All this could have happened only at the turn of the century, when the Soviet system instantly went out of fashion, replaced by the lightning invasion of the Western world in a grotesque parody. The main character of the film is an inconspicuous girl Nadezhda Strakhova. Nadezhda, oddly enough, is married. Her husband, Vitalik, a provincial, married a childless Nadezhda for the sake of a Moscow residence permit and a typical "Khrushchev" on the outskirts of Moscow. Nadezhda works two jobs to support her small family: in the mornings in the district library and in the evenings in the theater wardrobe. One day her life changes dramatically.

In 1957 French student Pierre Durand comes to Moscow to do an internship at Moscow State University. Here he meets ballerina Kira Galkina and photographer Valera Uspenskiy. With them he discovers the cultural side of Moscow — not just the traditional one, but the underground one as well. During his year in Russia’s capital Pierre lives an entirely different life than what he’s used to. But the internship and the experience of the Soviet people’s way of life are not the only things Pierre is after. He’s searching for his father, White officer Tatishchev, who was arrested in the 1930s.

A fight en route to an airport leads an ordinary Moscow couple to split on a whim. A fish supervision worker at a New Year's feast is forced to play the role of his deceased twin brother ... But, no matter what, the heroes of these stories will do everything to find their new happiness under the chimes.

The tragic and ironic reasoning about the fear of growing-up is shown through the prism of the personal relations of two protagonists. In a restaurant that is appropriate for the occasion a young man proposes to the girl he loves — and is unexpectedly turned down. The protagonists stay together for a few more hours, trying to understand what happened and come to grips with their selves. Gradually they get closer and closer.

On the eve of moving in with her fiancé, Lenochka throws a swap party with her friends, trying to shed unnecessary things and doubts. An evening full of conversations, memories, and casual confessions reveals cracks in her "perfect" future: betrayal, omissions, and a lack of true intimacy. The arrival of a stranger, Lyova, forces Lenochka to take a hard look at her relationship. What was supposed to be a step into a new life turns into a breaking point—and a chance to choose herself for the first time.

In the summer of 2014, a group of actors of the Gogol Center (Moscow) and the State Academic Drama Theater named after Fedor Volkov (Yaroslavl), headed by Kirill Serebrennikov, went on an expedition to the Yaroslavl region. The purpose of the expedition is to prepare a play based on the poem by N.A. Nekrasov "Who is to live well in Russia". The theater studied life, read a Nekrasov poem together with residents of villages and cities, wrote down documentary monologues of people, asked each person one of the main questions of the poem and today's life: “Who should live well in Russia?” The artist of "The Seventh Studio" Alexander Gorchilin and cameraman Ksenia Sereda recorded every second of this amazing research trip.

Moscow, present day. The city of big money, passion, gorgeous women and wealthy men, receptions and dangerous intrigue. Dasha, an art historian from the province, who came to the capital, dreams of a new, better life, but a mysterious and cruel incident will change everything.

Handsome, witty, self-confident adventurer, womanizer Dzhamal, who fled from his native Kazan to Moscow, hiding from the father of his former passion. In the capital, the experienced hero-lover quickly finds a place where he is offered to apply his talents on an "industrial scale": he is hired by the famous School of Relationships "Egoists". And if for the director Valeriya Shamina this is a chance to earn big, then for her best specialist - careerist and practicing psychologist Elena Ostrovskaya, Dzhamal becomes a real problem.

The brave new world of remoteness has created a new creature, the man of the era of self-isolation, and has given rise to amazing stories that would hardly have happened under other circumstances. Entomologist Victor was given a coupon for a Thai massage session by his colleagues, but instead of pleasure, the nerd got 2 weeks of completely unexpected quarantine away from home. Opposition leader Sasha reposted information critical of domestic medicine. The post was read by his brother - an official from the capital's mayor's office - and asked to immediately demolish everything. To feed a family accustomed to daily rib-eye steaks, Swiss ice cream and sushi, traffic police inspector Kogotkov comes up with a cunning plan to remotely bribe a car enthusiast. And Dimon owes Kostyan a decent amount of money, but he is in no hurry to return it. Kostyan hires Vitya, a scoundrel, to go to Dimon and collect the debt.

Lyceum teacher Rita begins to be harassed by a cyberstalker. The girl realizes that there are too many people around her who have good reasons to turn her life into a nightmare. He hits the most painful points: work, students, friends, family, self-belief. Rita is trying to figure out who this mysterious stalker is and what he wants. Sorting through and picking up the keys to her ex-boyfriend, students and colleagues, friends and even relatives, Rita realizes that she can no longer trust anyone.

The plot centers on a couple of Zhenya and Nikita, whose lives are radically changing due to an ordinary quarrel at the airport. Lovers find themselves on different sides of the world. Zhenya gets on the set in Berlin, meets a brilliant director and becomes a co-author of his film. And Nikita goes to Thailand, where his life is also turned upside down. But one thing remains unchanged for the guy: the desire to be close to Zhenya, which can overcome all geographical, physical and even moral boundaries.

Zhora, along with his parents, moves to another city, where he cannot establish relations with classmates in any way, and teachers openly find fault with him. Tired of enduring total injustice, Zhora decides to fight it, and in a non-standard way: a student puts a helmet with a camera mounted on his head and begins broadcasting everything he sees at home and at school to the Internet.

Colonel Alexander Volkov teaches at the Academy of the FSB, he is seventy, he is retired. Captain Igor Kamorin is an active operative, he is twenty-seven. Kamorin is a fan of electronic gadgets, while Volkov does not know how to use WhatsApp. Kamorin believes in progress and believes that Volkov's "tube brains" have become obsolete in the last century, while Volkov is sure that Kamorin's "clip thinking" is not even suitable for solving crossword puzzles. However, in tandem, these two will do the impossible: combine the old school and modern technology.

In the upcoming elections in the non-existent Kuibyshev region, businessman Andrei Obolensky, at the suggestion of the country's leading political strategist, becomes the spoiler candidate of the current governor Koretsky. The spoiler's task is to pull votes from Morozov's main competitor and withdraw from the election in favor of Koretsky. But the further the game goes, the more Obolensky gets into the taste. It is no longer clear who is playing against whom, and most importantly, what is at stake for everyone.
