A Slovenian thriller feature.

Matej returns from Germany to visit his father Rado in Slovenia to ask him for help in financing the apartment he wants to buy with his pregnant girlfriend. At the meeting, he learns that his father was thrown over the threshold of his own company, and after additional research, he learns that he is in very large debts, and his house is also hanging in the balance. Matej wants to solve his father's problems, even if by less legal means.

In a distopian future few shoemakers are working under an all seeing eye of the factory owner.

Inspired by a real event, the film follows 27-year-old Lara (newcomer Diana Kolenc), a paramedic intern who helps bring 30-year-old Kristijan (Vito Weiss) into the hospital, after he was brutally beaten on a Facebook live stream that was seen by 20,000 people and no one called the police. Although Kristijan is in a coma, Lara starts to receive video clips from his Facebook profile, showing unidentified persons watching him get beaten. She reports this to detective Borut (Jure Henigman, from A Trip and Dual), who starts an investigation. All the observers, who appear in the video clips, will become Lara’s nightmare in her real life. She soon realizes that she is also an accomplice in this horrible event.

Two women of different generations encounter, each in its own way dealing with issues of life and death, and spend a day together.

All of a sudden world have become very different for Jasna, or has it always been this way? She doesn't try to find out, she rather lives in now as it is. Doing so she meets a younger boy Pero which she finds a bit shady but cool and together they go on a journey to find out how meaningless is what was and will be.

The film discusses the sub-bituminous coal mining process from tree cutting to the renaturation of open-pit mines. Lusatian villages and, with them, the Sorbian culture have been mined for nearly 100 years. 136 villages, 125 of them Sorbian-German, have disappeared since 1924. The film questions the equality of constitutional law and nature protection. A pond where thousands of European fire-bellied toads (Bombina bombina) have been moved serves as an allegory of the lost villages, while an acoustic metaphor for the missing balance between human rights and nature conservation could be found in alternating soundtracks – European fire-bellied toad vs. the background noise of an open-pit mine.

Somewhere far away from the village and people, four hundred wind gusts away, Marija and Drevo are dealing with the acceptance of the upcoming loss of their friend.
