Investigating the disappearance of children in a remote Polish town, prosecutor Leopold Bilski must unravel a sinister local legend before it's too late.

Based on a true story, Emi — a young, ambitious girl, dreams about life outside her small town. When an opportunity arises to become an exclusive escort, she jumps in without hesitation. Soon she climbs the ranks and starts her own VIP escort service; recruiting Polish celebrities, actors, singers, and models. However, the luxurious and enticing world eventually shows its dark side.

The film is set in the Tricity in 2003, ten years after the end of communism in Poland. The plot, apparently based on the real-life experiences of Kraków businessmen Lech Jerzorny and Paweł Rey, is about three young, talented businessmen who open a high-tech factory. This comes to the attention of the local state ‘mafia’, the local Prosecutor, played by Janusz Gajos, and tax office boss, played by Kasimierz Kaczor, who are both jealous and would like to make money for themselves. We are in Poland, so success must be punished.

A well-known wheeler dealer joins the underground opposition to avoid responsibility after stealing valuable coins. When he is released from prison, he sets up a private bank with high interest rates together with a Security Service colonel. However, the colonel has bigger ambitions.

1. A ring of retired provincial PRL dignitaries plots to steal their party’s banner from the Museum of Communism as an ideological relic, only to have their scheme complicated when one conspirator’s son enlists an Italian collector in a profit-seeking joint venture. 2. A young homeless couple squatting in an unoccupied Balaton dacha is caught by the elderly ex-communist official who now runs a Budapest nightclub—and agrees to keep silent about their trespass in exchange for forcing them into a public “wedding night” performance for his patrons.

As Christmas approaches, ambitious Mel struggles to host a grand Eve dinner for his “Santa” business and, seeing his younger self in hapless employee Grzesiek, vows to save him from repeating old mistakes. Meanwhile, Karina and Szczepan’s quiet holiday is disrupted by a burst pipe that introduces repairman Lucek and stranded traveler Józek into their home. And Wojciech, fresh from London, plans a serene reunion, until he meets mysterious Ewa, who’s flown in to see an internet love.

The name "the tiger of Europe", which is described by international media as Poland from time to time, is largely due to clever tax fraudsters, smugglers and various "bums". Over the last ten years, they have made not only jealous giant fortunes, but also their own model of culture and customs. A model that mercilessly exposed their intellectual poverty and primitivism. It is from this model that Gruza laughs first of all, proving that if the "tigers of Europe" had been deprived of money, they would have been at most the wretched cats feeding on rubbish cans.
