A Romeo & Juliet-esque tale set in Uzbekistan.

A film about the friendship between the workers of the Uzbek collective farm 'Leningrad' and the city of Lenin. This friendship has grown stronger and developed over more than four decades. In return, the workers gifted the collective farm two tractors and sent their representatives to help set up the new machinery.

Ostap, a young Ukrainian forester, travels to Tashkent to claim a house his aunt left him on Thirteen Poplars Street. There he meets Mastura, a local girl who, charmed by his genuine admiration, offers to show him the city’s hidden wonders.
