At sixteen, Maria becomes an underground revolutionary. In the terrible year of 1919, while conducting propaganda among the sailors of the interventionist fleet, the heroine meets the Spanish sailor Pablo. After parting, they meet again only a few years later. Pablo and Maria leave for Spain for illegal work. After burying her husband and son, she trains personnel for Soviet intelligence during the Second World War.

For 49 days, four young soldiers drifted on a barge that was blown out to sea by a storm. Only by the end of the seventh week they were discovered by American pilots.

On a rough and tumble construction site for a new factory, the conversation flows and love blooms for trio Lyuba, Misha, and Kolya. In the liminal space of their workplace, they build material and intangible connections.

A story about a woman who raised her son alone during the difficult war and post-war years. She lives with her memories and hopes and does not demand much from life.

The film is about the hot war summer of 1944. A group of several gun crews defends a tiny bridgehead on the right bank of the Dniester. The fates of the main characters: the front-line soldier-battalion commander Babin, the young lieutenant Motovilov, the nurse Rita Tamashova and the rank-and-file gunners, soldiers, among whom are brave people, faint-hearted and scoundrels, unnoticed heroes, are shown in a setting of several hours of peaceful life before another violent attack of the enemy, after which not everyone will survive...

Based on the story of the same name by Grigory Baklanov, which raises the problems of honor, conscience and human responsibility for what happens in our lives.

A few days after the unconditional surrender of German troops, a group of Soviet soldiers is billeted at a farmyard which the war somehow never seems to have reached. This apparently peaceful picture is eerily undermined when the Red Army soldiers are confronted with the full extent of Nazi terror.
