This story took place in a small Belarusian village at Christmas time. Having received a three-day vacation, Anatoly came here to play a wedding with the beautiful Lyuba. Their relatives take up the preparations and a funny pre-wedding huddle begins....

In the night, someone shoots an elderly couple in their sleep with a hunting rifle, leaving their twenty-year-old son, disabled and confined to a wheelchair, an orphan. The investigation reveals the life story of what seems at first glance to be an ordinary Soviet family. While still young, the couple lost their long-desired infant daughter. Later in life, the fate gives them a child, but he happens to be a boy. The mother's pathological desire to have a daughter becomes an obsession. The woman treats Sashenka as a girl, dresses him as a girl and buys him dolls. The father supports his wife in every way. This is how starts a dramatic and astonishing story of human vices and deviations.

The hero of the film consciously goes to extreme actions and analysis of the psychological process, where subconscious pictures of visions and discoveries give grounds for real fears for the future of humanity. The semantic and pictorial fabric of the film develops against the background of deep retrospectives about the emergence of Christianity. The film was shot in 1991 by actor Nikolai Kochegarov in Minsk.

Summer, 1944. A military airbase near the very front-line. A young soviet pilot Sergey makes his first practice flight. In the course of this flight he hears a call for help on the radio from Russian pilots, having an unequal air combat with superior forces of the enemy. Sergey rushes to their rescue. His plane gets shut down, and he is taken prisoner. Soon he is taken to a special flight school, where future German aces are prepared and Russian pilots at the wheel of captured Russian aircrafts are used as living targets. Nobody wants to put up with such situation, and they prepare an escape.

The main events take place on the road while the hero is returning home from the war. Memories of war accompany him all the way.

1925. There have been unrest in Western Belarus for four years now, there is a guerrilla war going on, and Soviet intelligence agents are working. And attempts by local residents to defend at least their own faith and church end in brutal suppression.

Tanya Vasilevskaya, a graduate of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, gets assigned to a small school in the agro-town of Mezhrechye. The situation is aggravated by the fact that a very young teacher is put in charge of the 11th grade, whose former mentor unexpectedly retires. All the students in this class are complex and difficult children, but one of them, Sergey Yanchuk, requires special attention after the death of his mother. Tanya will have to overcome doubts, professional inexperience, skepticism and ridicule to become a good homeroom teacher.

The location is the Belarusian forests, close to the Polish border, during Operation Bagration in the summer of 1944. The Red Army is preparing to advance, but on one segment of the front there are two serious obstacles: an unnamed hill, and a highly skilled German sniper. The local commander, Major Inozemtsev, suspects that the hill is a trap.
